Prada Menswear S/S 2023 Milan

Considering they only stage four shows a year for Prada, this is somewhat disappointing in terms of overall concept, especially after such a strong show last season. In saying that, it is still better than 90% of menswear that is being shown at the moment. I'll take this collection over anything else that is around at the moment.

What was interesting about this show was how American-Sportswear it was in feeling. Very "Americana" with those 1950's car coats, but then also very Robert Mapplethorpe with all that leather, and again very 90's New York with the minimalist suiting at the start and those beige coats at the end (very Carolyn Besette-Kennedy in feeling). It's weird but this is what Calvin Klein should have looked like under Raf.

When random pieces of clothing end up on models, who walk to some songs and then it's called fashion show. Would have been more honest to present them to Prada outlets' buyers. This is so boring, on every level.

I like the leather outfits (4th, 5th and 6th looks). that’s pretty much it.
