What program are you using hfgl? For Paint Shop you can click on the colour and it gives you a choice of gradients and patterns which you can change around to suit your cover. Not sure about other programs though.

I know we're only supposed to post 2 covers but I don't know which covers I'll use for sure and since a lot of pics will be taken by the time I make a decision, I'm posting other options:
