I don't believe that those who've responded negatively have done so out of pure spite, or because they hate Karlie or because they take pleasure in dissing magazines. Good covers get the credit they rightly deserve. Just nip round to Rosie's Harpers Bazaar 2012 thread; the comments are overwhelmingly positive. This, however, is a very divisive cover (and Karlie is a model who polarises opinions), certainly not the prettiest or earth-shattering, very much open to interpretation. By consciously choosing to espouse the avant garde, Vogue Italia has thrown itself open to such comments.

I can't believe people like this... her body looks ridiculous and so does her awful pout! I just don't get Karlie really, although her Vogue Germany cover was very nice IMO.

I love it. Karlie is perfect for it. I can't believe people hating on it saying its like Gisele. Gisele wasn't the first model with muscles and a personality. This is very 90s supermodel.

the proportions near the hip really bother me, it looks disjointed for some reason. although i'm TEAM KARLIE all the way! YAY! i hope this catapults her to campaign stardom this upcoming ad season.

Some shots are a bit too much for me, but I sort of like her editorial.

I think I might pick this up. I haven't been buying that many issues of Vogue Italia lately.

While the cover didn't excite me at all I must say the main editorial is quite striking. Karlie is definitely channeling the Supers with her more recent work and I think she definitely has the potential to become the next supermodel. She brings so much to every single picture, I'm really fascinated by the editorial and can't help staring at every shot. Great work. I hope the rest of the issue is as good as this.

The only nude picture that I find to be good is that last one. And I really don't get the story of the editorial, if it's called Body by Kloss shouldn't it be more sporty-sexy shots (like, say #7 and #16) than those shorts suits and such?
