I joke with friends that my dream is to be on Fox news and thus on TV at my mother's house :lol: :angel: :rofl: So far (to my knowledge) it hasn't happened ... at least, I haven't received any calls in a high-pitched voice telling me I was on the news.

So is the group you mention Code Pink, or a different one?

not familiar with code pink...
it's a different one...

if anyone is going to the march for science this weekend 4.14.18
there is a movement to wear green knit caps to create a human treescape...
treetopsproject.com

designed to mimic an evergreen tree and intended to be worn for climate actions...

^ I like the crafty aspect ... :heart: Those are cute, look like something a gnome or leprechaun would wear.

I saw the other day that since January of last year, 1 in 5 Americans has marched in the streets ... a large number of whom had never done so before. That is a big number ... it would be even more interesting to know the percentage of women.

Yeah- the whole craftivism movement is very appealing to me as well!

I’m not a knitter but they actually have caps that have been donated and anyone can go and get one to wear to an action.
It’s kind of amazing.

Comfortable shoes in case you have to GTFO in a hurry.

Protests tend to attract attention deficient troublemakers, so you may get caught up in a melee and sticking around may result in injury, tear gas effects and/or unnecessary incarceration or damages.

^ They do? Either I'm attending a much better class of protest than you are, or you have a rather fevered imagination ...

:lol::lol:

I've never been to a protest, so I used to think that you'd want to look as nondescript possible. Most people just wear weather-appropriate gear in the UK. I haven't seen much thematic attire personally.
