^basically, that's what I assume. At least that's how the question come off to me??

Yeah some are very simple,so I do agree there's something lacking. I do think Wijnants did something more with it though than the rest.

I used to like the whole eye thing …. Maybe I still do hmmm
I like the seat - not really the back

Did you notice on every single designer proposal window the name - Bruno Pieters pops up? (If you move your mouse around the window) Funny

Well I just looked at all of them, and I think it's pretty clear to see why the contestants design clothes and not cars. I agree with stillhere; with one or two exceptions, it doesn't seem like any of the designers bothered to put much thought into these. Don't give up your day jobs, people.

But I did vote. :D Thanks for letting us know about this, Scott.

^I can say one thing about this though...it's a helluva lot better than those crap designs some of the NY designers did for GMC company

Hey ... that would be a great idea for a thread...

Forget about it design/ designers collaboration!

Thanks Scott! :flower:

Quite disappointed with most of the entries which are nothing more than a re-upholstery job. :cry:Come on, these are intelligent designers, they can go much more fun and conceptual, eg. say using therodynamic (i.e. heat sensitive) materials that leave a temporary imprint according to the temperature of a person when someone sits on it, or use a surprise material like a soft mosaic, I can go on and on. Bruno Pieter's idea of personalisation might be fun if, say, the hard surfaces are really made of chalk board to scribble on for the amusement of bored children. The idea to upholster with pieces from one's wardrobe isn't bad, but not spectacularly creative.

I voted for De Vos because he had the most fun and original idea but totally impractical (how does one endure them in a traffic jam???) among them, [not outstandingly so because I did the same idea myself, sewing tiny toys to my jacket lapel not to the back of my jeans, heheh...if Zazie has done it, it's not so unusual, no? :innocent:] Maybe if he had made the seat out of clear inflatable cushions with the toys inside, it would work. B)

Well, 1007 euros will be very, very nice, but me, I never have the luck. Anyway, I prefer le metro! :D

^Hey,if Anke Loh had particpated, you might have got your wish...she actually had worked with such heat-senstive fabrics.

But I dunno. I'm sure there were restrictions given by Peugot so the designer's probably couldn't do a whole lot with the interior.

Who is Anke Loh? Sounds like a must-see. A heat-sensitive dress sounds like fun, but it might be a bit embarassing to wear if I'm right about the locations of the most, um, thermodynamic parts of the human body...heh

Scott,...are you a computer programme or almanac or something? B) How on earth is it possible to know almost everything? Amazing!:flower:

Unfortunately and/or hopefully it seems to have been the case.

 Oh I don't know everything....seriously,I don't :)

No,but Anke is a German transplanted,Antwerp trained and based designer.

I checked out her website which is well-designed and the older collections are really interesting (especially her more avant-garde construction), although I suspect not so flattering to wear! :) I'll look out for her new collections in future.

It'll be a pity if Peugeot limited the designers' scope because then what's the point of the exercise? It's not so experimental anymore. What's the harm in giving them more room to exercise their imagination? Auf...:p It's like, have some fun here, but only un Peu...!
