This may sound pretty stupid to you guys but I need help.

I can't blend eyeshadows at all. I see some really cool looks that I've love to try on my eyes but I'm clueless about it.

I'm a one eyeshadow shade girl. I've tried to blend them but I just end up masking one colour with the other. How do you girls and guys do it? Know of any books that help?

I'm great with eyeliner, lipstick, powders... everything but freakin eyeshadow!

What I do is have like a lighter color in the inside of my eye on the lid, and a darker color in the outer corner and the crease. then a light color for a brow highlight. you can also dab like a light shimmery color right in the middle of your lid to adda little extra pop. do you know what i mean? lol. it's late, i might not be making a lot of sense. i like kevin aucoin's(sp?) makeup book, i want to get it.

Use an slant-tip brush on the darker, contrast color and you'll notice a difference.

I use the lightest shade on the inner corner of my eye and then use a tiny amount of the darker shade, sweeping it in on a brush from the outer corner.

Also, a lot of practice is needed too - it took me ages to learn how to do it!

Good luck :)

babyj first off you hafta have the right brushes.
get a shadow brush frm MAC & a liner brush.
then practice blending the same colour but in different shades.
so a pale pink to a darker aubergine etc.
to stop the colors frm getting messy & muddy
apply some concealer or eye base to your eyelid
this will help the shadow to stick & stay where you want them
then apply the colors in blocks using a patting motion
& blend the colors together.
hope this helps :flower:
