If Jackie's eligble, and the film won the Grand Jury prize at Sundance, why isn't the film itself getting any noms, as well?
I thought that, following its tremendous box-office success + critical acclaim, Inception would overshadow the other movies..Usually films that are released during the first half of the year are forgotten during the awards season and don't get the nominations or awards recognition they deserve.Already so many awards for The Social NetworkI thought that, following its tremendous box-office success + critical acclaim, Inception would overshadow the other movies..
I haven't watched many movies nor TV shows this year but I just want Jon Hamm to win loads of awards, his acting is outstanding.

In 2009, District 9 and Up in the Air seemed to be "forgotten" by the time Avatar rolled around, but remember what happened... The Hurt Locker won and shocked everybody. The Hurt Locker was released in June of 2009, and as somebody who manages a movie theatre where it was playing, it did not create much buzz at the time at all.
I wasn't. The Hurt Locker swept up all the critic awards, just like The Social Network is doing now.
