2014 Golden Globe Awards

Diane Keaton is flawless. She looks fab in that suit.

I'm glad Woody stayed at home.

Emma looked cute; looking forward to seeing her in Woody's next film. Very brave of Diane Keaton to sing that little ditty. But it would've been great, perhaps, to hear a selection of people speak about working with him.

EDIT: Agree that Diane rocked that suit.

Two hours later, I'm still pissed. Lupita was robbed. HFPA can kick rocks right off a very high cliff.

Me too. Me too. I'm quite gutted about it. I love Jennifer but this wasn't her award to win. Lupita just gave a raw, emotional performance that I really have never seen before and she deserved to be acknowledged for it. I think her loss say's more about the power-plays in Hollywood and the lack of diversity amongst the voters then anything else. I'm praying that the Academy doesn't f*** it up like the HFPA did.

The director category was so tough. Personally I wouldn't've gone with Alfonso for Gravity. He only directed ONE actor for the most part, lol. I know there is a lot more to it, but still.

Are we seriously going to blame racism and "lack of diversity" every time a black nominee loses? I too preferred Lupita's performance to Jennifer's (although I thought Sally Hawkins gave the best performance in the category), but Jennifer's win is not surprising. She's literally the hottest actress in Hollywood right now. She got just as many raves as Lupita did and has won a number of critics awards for her performance. Her win is not undeserving.

Yay for Brooklyn Nine Nine. It's hilarious. Gets better each week.

Yay Alfonso.

Cannot agree with this more. :flower:

Noooo. I really wanted Bruce Dern to win. Or at least Christian Bale. I guess this now means DiCaprio is getting an Oscar nomination.

Have to say, I am not a huge Leo fan, but he gave a perfect speech, and he has such "presence."

Calm down, Leo. You're still (probably) not gettin' an Oscar.

:lol::lol: I'm surprised he won, he was unremarkable IMO And that film was SO long and pretentious :ninja: Also, I was looking forward to the b*tch face he would make if he lost

I'm shocked that they haven't picked an award up yet. Let's see what happens next... I would love for it to get best film and actor for Chiwetel. :flower:
