Ugh...these all look like clothes that you'd buy on sale, then wear once (maybe twice), then retire to the back of your closet..never to be seen or heard from again.

To me that's a case of some good garments being killed with really quite awful styling.

^^^ Those were my thoughts. The styling was a major distraction. The pieces were not bad, but probably would've looked better under different styling.

yeah I can't seem to focus on anything in this at all except that beautiful coat, the 4th picture in the 1st post

OMG! There isn't the sporty American style :bounce: Cool for 3.1 Phillip Lim.
I also think this collection is very French (brands/designers with Asian sway)

I really like how Phillip is evolving his label. Everything is well designed and interesting, while staying within wearable territory in regards to menswear.

To me, Phillip is making a statement with the styling here, alongside with the change from presentation to runway. His past collections have been very clean with no-fuss styling. Here, it is much more aggressive. It's as if he's saying the Phillip Lim man is not one to be overlooked.

now this is different. ya, completely messy and all over the place, especially for a lim collection. i agree, it's the styling because there are some good pieces though not as cleanly designed as he usually is. a new change perhaps but i miss the sleeker lim..

I hope that jacket in #4 with the bright blue over it is a removable rain coat, or something like that. I so, it will find a place in my closet.

I feel like there are lots of great pieces here but the collection has awful styling. When he gets it right, it's on another level.
