64th Primetime Emmy Awards

I completely forgot the Emmys was coming on last night, but I remembered in time to catch the last hour or so. From the pictures and the show, my best dressed were as follows:

Lucy Lui....Um, WOW! She looked amazing on TV.
Claire Danes...gorgeous and her speech was hilarious.
Sophia Vegara...wonderful color
And I don't know her name, but the actress in Homeland who plays Damien Lewis' wife. She looked dropped dead sexy!
I also really loved Elisabeth Moss' look. The hair really fits her and the dress really worked on her.

I think it has to be my favourite dress that I've seen for the Emmys so far.

Usually I have trouble conjuring up a list with the Emmy Awards but there were so many fantastic outfits. All of our favourite TV stars went all out this year.

My personal favourites:

Emilia Clarke in Chanel (I was a bit skeptical with how this would look on her because of her height, but Queen Daenarys looks flawless.)

Kristen Wiig in Balenciaga (So cool that she chose a dress from one of Ghesquiere's best collections. It could've been even better if she had worn this to the Oscars instead of that fugly princess dress she eventually chose.)

Julianne Moore in Christian Dior Haute Couture (looked much better than I thought initial thought.)

Julianna Margulies in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture (sans pageant pose, she looks fabulous.)

Claire Danes in Lanvin (pretty and simple. Lanvin always looks great on Danes.)

Amy Poehler in Stella McCartney (my Pawnee goddess has never looked better. Bow down to Leslie Knope! Love the lack of arm accessories and the simple bold ring.)

Kat Dennings in J. Mendel (it's the kind of look that has been done many times before but I just love it on Kat.)

Lucy Liu in Versace (she always looks great in Versace, no surprise here.)

Elisabeth Moss in Dolce & Gabanna (don't know what it is, but I'm totally feeling this look. It looked even better in motion.)

Tina Fey in Vivienne Westwood (kind of like Amy Poehler, she has never looked better.)

^^ I'm the same with you Lola, Elisabeth's look can easily be a hot mess but she's working it. There's just something that made it work.

The women (and the whole team behind them) did a really great job this year. I wish I saw the whole thing (arrivals, etc) live.
