70th Annual Cannes Film Festival 2017

Aymeline, my hero!! So French, beating on her own drum. The models without a doubt look better than most of the celebs, especially the D-list ones like Paris and Lady Victoria Hervey (who looked dressed by a TOWIE starlet). But I do feel some of their looks are very predictable and mediocre. They basically all went for the same dress. Special kudos to Daria Strokous and Kurkova (love the colour).

There is something so insanely charismatic about Marine Vacth no matter how hard she tries to fight it :lol:

Elle Fanning is the winner of Cannes for me. She was such a delight. I love how much that kid manages to be experimental, age appropriate, fun, and chic all at once. It is a true gift. I'm excited for her acting career but also her fashion life lol. Otherwise, this year has been super disappointing.

My favorite this year was Nicole Kidman. Every single looks was perfection.
Elle Fanning is the second favorite, what a sweetheart:blush:

Overall it was a very poor year fashion wise.

post 62 is like a hair disaster episode ("3 ways to open the oven at the wrong time", etc). :mellow:

WOMEN!!!!!
Female director, Sofia!
Nicole!
Diana!
Even Joaquin was directed by Lynne!
:heart::flower:
People may disagree with the choices but I LOVE that women on film are being recognized.
Please excuse my momentary freak out. :stuart::woot::lol:

wow.. thought it would never happen at Cannes after the way her movies have been received there. Good for her!.. personally I can't really stand her work and would never award her regardless of gender.. then again, we'd have to see what else was screened that she was the winner this time.

The fashion was not amazing tonight...

Ha! You couldn't have said it any better. Personally I could only sit through The Virgin Suicides, because it was unclassy in the 90's to walk out of cinemas.

She may be a woman, but she's also a prime example of nepotism.
