does anyone know if there's any another 80's threads? I know theres Back to the 80's F/W 09.10, i just find it really hard to search for stuff on here

just cause im doing a project on the 80's at the moment, because there's a lot of it about and I havent done a project on it before. i want to make a fitted knit dress/skirt, with a pattern on it hopefully. Well, I'll still design it even if i dont get to make it.

    thanks,

You might try looking through the History of Style sub forum, which has threads focusing on many designers, some from the 1980s. Good luck!

I'd suggest renting a bunch of movies from the 80's or maybe looking through old fashion magazines to really see what the ideals were since our view of the 80's is probably a bit different

I did a search (which you can do for every forum, I suggest searching only titles when you're looking for a topic) and came up with this thread

    good luck!

What I also like to do when researching fashion from previous decades (which, as anyone who frequents the History of Style forum, knows I love to do!) is browse websites like Flickr, where people post old family photographs from every era imaginable. This will provide you with an accurate look at what regular people wore back then, rather than what we assume people wore.

I did a quick search on Flickr and found a group called Original 1980s, which I'd recommend looking at. Hope this helps!

There are a ton of 80's movies, such as "Can't Buy Me Love". You can get a lot of ideas from them.
