This is so sad. I have heard that he has not been well lately. This also explains why Tori finally paid him a visit after not seeing him for 8 months.

Aaron Spelling is recovering at his Los Angeles-area mansion after suffering a stroke over the weekend, publicist Kevin Sasaki said Wednesday.
Sasaki said that the 83-year-old TV titan had the stroke Sunday and was currently under a doctor's care at the family's Holmby Hills estate, dubbed "The Manor."
The publicist said he was uncertain as to the severity of the stroke, adding that, as far as he knew, Spelling was showing no signs of paralysis. Spelling has remained at the home since the incident and is reportedly fully conscious and resting comfortably.
"At this point I would imagine they would probably have him in a hospital" if Spelling's health was truly imperiled, Sasaki told City News Service.
Sasaki added that Spelling's wife, Candy, and son Randy have both been by the ailing mogul's side, though there's no word on whether daughter Tori has also paid a visit. (There have been rumors, downplayed by Tori, of a rift stemming from the portrayal of her parents in her VH1 comedy series, so noTORIous.)
The stroke is not the Charlie's Angels mastermind's first health scare. In 2001, Spelling holed up at home after successfully undergoing radiation therapy for a lesion in his throat.
Meanwhile, there's no immediate word on whether Spelling's health will delay his legal battle with a former nurse.
Charlene Richards has filed a sexual-harassment lawsuit filed against Spelling, claiming he routinely groped her, exposed himself, requested sexual favors and propositioned her while she was in his employ.
For his part, Spelling has denied the claims and filed a countersuit against Richards for breach-of-contract, alleging his former employee violated a confidentiality agreement with the family by discussing various aspects of her working experience with her then boyfriend.
The prolific producer has made an indelible mark on the TV landscape, having a hand in more than 200 series, including Beverly Hills, 90210, Dynasty, Melrose Place and The Love Boat.
