AD CAMPAIGN POSTING ETIQUETTE [PART ONE]

When starting a new thread for an advertising campaign within the Ad Campaign section, please follow the rules outlined below:

  • The name of the fashion brand goes first.

  • The season of the campaign goes second.

  • Please include (if known at the time of starting a new thread) any models from the campaign, followed by the campaign photographer.

AD CAMPAIGN POSTING ETIQUETTE [PART TWO]

  • Always properly credit your image uploads, as per tFS Forum Rules.

Other tFS threads can not be used as image sources. If you get an image from another thread, make sure you note where the image is credited, and use that credit when reposting.
  • When crediting your image upload from a magazine, please include the name of the magazine, month and year from which the campaign image was extracted.
  • Please remember to not host images containing nudity at Imageshack.us.

Use other online image hosting site that allow for such content instead.

Thank you for adhering to these rules.

tFSers - the ads mods have put together the vintage ads archive threads, please post all the ads from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s in these threads :flower:

Since we are aiming to have this as a searchable archive, it is important to follow a certain simple posting format which is described in the first post of any of the vintage threads:

The 1920s - ALL ads

The 1930s - ALL ads

The 1940s - ALL ads

The 1950s - Fragrance and Beauty

The 1950s - Fashion and Accessories

The 1960s - Fragrance and Beauty

The 1960s - Fashion and Accessories

The 1970s - Fragrance and Beauty

The 1970s - Fashion and Accessories

The 1980s - Fragrance and Beauty

The 1980s - Fashion and Accessories

If you do not know the year/decade and you're curious about it - you can ask other tFSers in What year was this ad published? thread. :flower:

In order to improve the quality of the threads in this forum and focus further on the fashion and art aspects of the advertisements/magazines, the moderator team will start enforcing empty post removal.

While the model/celeb taking part in the images are important, it must not be the main focus in these threads.

Examples of what is going to be removed:

1. Sigrid
2. Sigrid suits this campaign so well.
3. Sigrid's hair looks beautiful in this campaign.

Examples of what is not going to be removed:

4. Her hair looks gorgeous - I wonder what hair stylist they used?
5. Sigrid's hair looks gorgeous - what hair stylist did they use?

Please keep in mind that the focus of the ad/mag forums is the fashion, art, photography and business of the work presented there.
