I watched the Superbowl last night(damn Giants) and Adriana's commercial came on around halfway through the 4th quarter. A little boring, but hey--it's Adriana. Here it is if you haven;t seen it

She's defiantly one of the top videos on Yahoo, aol, and msn. This commercial is doing the same thing it did for Cindy Crawford. Cindy's commercial made her a houshold name and sent her to superstar status and so far it's doing the same thing for Adriana.

The superbowl is the biggest sporting event of the year commercials cost millions to air during the superbowl, and it's a HUGE deal, so for Adriana to get a solo commercial during the supermodel will be a big part of her career!!! It means they feel like she is the most popular and the sexiest to promote to the millions of men watching!!

Actually that picture is originally from AdrianaFLima.com, her cousin Adrielle (the one in the front sent it to Angel a long time ago) it was passed around when it shouldn't have been. NONE of them are her family except the little girl in the front.

On Fashion TV, Adriana said that her family is a mix. Besides revealing her own ethnicity (African, Indian and Swiss -- her quote, not a PR blurb from Wackipedia), she said that in her family they look so different it's like "OMG, why is your hair, your skin, your eyes," and she said, "It's all a mix." She said that she got her eyes from her grandmother. As fans, many of us must be familiar with this video.

Now I am not familiar with the story behind this photo that her cousin circulated, so I would like to take your word. But who's to say that group doesn't represent a snapshot of her genealogy? I see Caucasian, Indian and Black...exactly what she described herself to be. So for anyone (not you) to say they do not look like her, I think the original response about mixed families was valid.

Selita's beautiful to me, far from ugly, but of course beauty is subjective. Some think Adriana Lima is ugly or average depending on the shot. Selita's a great addition of diversity to VS, articulates English using the proper vernacular, and has energetic runway presence. She wore the diamond bra this year, so VS values her. As the new girl, she's doing her day-um thang.

If horse-faced Giselle and some of the other plain Jane blonds can be models, Selita, who looks far better (IMO), certainly can.

I'm SO confused by your post, I didn't say Adriana's family wasn't mixed I know it is. Her grandmother is Japanese, and her Grandfather was African on her mothers side. I don't understand what you are talking about...it's simple the little girl in the front is her cousin. I guess they look like her but the question that was asked was are they her family, as to which the response is No. Adrielle is the only one in that picture that is her family. Her Mother does look mixed as well as her Dad, again I don't see what you are really even talking about

She's been one of the top rated ads in the Superbowl, and she's one of the most watched on Youtube, and yahoo as well as MSN. So I believe this will shoot her into superstar status, as it already kind has. This is what happened when Cindy did her commercial and look at how she is now...so glad it's happening to Dri.

well, that is my point... she is super popular among people, but somehow she just doesn't get more media focus, not to mention that she should be featured in more modeling campaigns...

i don't think i know a person who doesn't know who adri is.... male or female... on the other side, many VS models are just like 'i have seen her, but i have no idea who she is...'

Adriana has had Superstar Status... Everyone knew it was her on the Ad and she is by far (now that gisele is gone) the most commercial model VS has. None of the other models could have been able to hold that commercial on their own and get the kind of response its getting.

I think the reason she doesnt get the huge media focus is because she really doesnt want/need it. She has it made the way everything is for her now.

At adrianaflima a while back we got news that Adriana would be doing a Valentines day launch but we didn't know when well I just read on Fox news that Karolina and the rest of the angels will be in NY VS store tomorrow (Thursday to sign autographs of Esquire) So since she was on Esquire I think it's a no brainer this is the launch WHOOO HOOO!!!
