Yes, she's confirmed it and she's spoken french in many interviews. She also lived in franch for about a year. She doesn't speak spanish only very very little and the little she knows she struggles A LOT with, you can tell that when she did liverpool, because common sense, if she spoke spanish she would have done it there in Mexico, she even tried to on the runway and they told her just to speak Portuguese. Plus she's said she doesn't speak spanish in an interview, and yes she speaks Italian, she learnt it because of TIM she didn't want to be dubbed and she learned it with some help I believe.

Bottom line she doesn't speak spanish, she speaks fluent English, French, and Italian (along with Portuguese)

Theres a difference between FLUENT & CONVERSATIONAL and i wouldnt say shes fluent in french, italian or even english.

^ oh come on now. she IS fluent in english! just because she has a thick accent and messes up some words (very rarely BTW) doesn't mean she can't speak english!
It's not as if the reporters are going to give her their questions beforehand so she practices her answers!!! All of the statements she says at VS events are pretty good for a foreigner.

Yeah, I'd count her as fluent in english.. Because she's had conversations about hundreds of topics, and is not just limited, like me with my welsh xD Problemau'r ifance, indeed xD

Um.. But yeah, I've never heard her speak french or italian and don't speak them myself so I wouldn't know, even if I had. :/

she's fluent, in all of them. not conversational, I've learned many languages as well and I speak mine like her and I'm considered fluent. Also keep in mind there are people that speak french that say she speaks fluently. Plus she learned Italian actually learned the whole language. Conversational is almost like she is in Spanish..able to understand and speak a little, but barely enough to get by. (also with spanish you can hear her really struggle when speaking it, with the others it flows very very easily) Fluent is how she is in French, English and Italian. believe me if she was only conversational in English..she wouldn't be able to have a relationship with someone who spoke English and she wouldn't be able to be a vs model esp after they gave her speech classes. So sorry but she's conversational in spanish yes, but fluent in the others.

she probably really IS fluent Italian. 6 of my own cousins are italian and I've been around a lot of Italian people in my life and Adriana's italian accent (from the TIM ads) is PERFECT!! In fact when I first saw them I was 100% sure she was italian!!

To work in Italy and with Italians you need to know at least some italian.

You can listen and really tell where she is fluent and where she struggles. French flows very easily and so does Italian, when you hear her speak them. As opposed to Spanish it's like pulling teeth, so to say she's conversational is just absurd.

Also I applaud her for not wanting to be dubbed in her commercials so she learned Italian, I think it shows she has a lot of brains and isn't just abobbled head like many models.

Lol, she hardly speaks English, the fact that she made an Italian spot doesn't mean she speaks Italian. I also saw her at an Italian TV show in Rome when she was shooting for team, and the reporter was interviewing her in Italian, while she was answering in English. So, why should she speak French?+I never heard her speaking any other foreign language besides her bad English.

Sighs.....listen I've been an Adriana fan since 2002 and own the biggest more informational site on her on the web I know my stuff. She speaks English very very very well. To say she hardly speaks English is really absurd, hardly speaking English would not get her PR spots for Maybelle or Victoria's Secret. Victoria's Secret puts each angel through speech class before they are even contracted, so to say she barley speaks English is stupid. Now she speaks Italian she learned it half way through because at the time she was living in Paris and she wanted to learn it so she could do interviews and not be dubbed, when she did that interview you are speaking about she had only filmed 3 commercials (the ones where she was dubbed) after that she started learning and doing her own speaking.

Also did you even look at the posts above yours? Watch the video she speaks French in the video...also she lived in Paris and she's known French for years.Again just because YOU haven't heard her speak it doesn't make it not so...also there are people who have spotted her in French and heard her speaking French and very well. So let's see she spoke French in a video, it's general information you can find on her biographies, her friends say she speaks French, and she was spotted by fans who spokes French and say she does and she lived in Paris for a year hmmmmmm I'd say she speaks French.

I'm sorry if she English is bad so is mine, because I learned English. She speaks it pretty much like me.

As regards "her portuguese", her eds answers made me , especially the 2005 (or 2006) GQ interview,in which is very simple too understand she never read a book, at least in my opinion.And as regards her English, of course she has to speak it because of her job, but I realy don't think the VS team are very interested in how good is the girls English, as much as they only have to walk well...

She was born with Portuguese, and she's never stated she hasn't read a book it's actually one of her favorite pastimes!!!! Her family is always telling our site that she reads all the time, and she always talks in interviews about her favorite books!

Also VS is very very interested in how well they talk because they are spokesmodels!!! They are actually put through speech classes!!! Because they give interviews, go on talk shows, on radio shows, and do PR anyone who says you don't have to speak english to do those things are out of their minds!

It's very obvious she speaks English, Portuguese, French and Italian. I'm sorry but I'm arguing with someone who say she doesn't speak Portuguese properally. I'm sorry but enough said.

You can listen to her interviews and she speaks all of those languages very well. Again I've been a fan since 2002 and I've seen and read all her interviews and I can re assure you along with AdrianaFLima's contacts she speaks those languages.


Also if you have ever watched any video where she speaks both and all languages she speaks a lot more than "My name is..." I'm sorry but you just haven't educated yourself properlly on the matter. You are judging her english on a darn accent, I have a thicker accent than she does and I speak english it doesn't mean I can only say "My name is..." it's impossible for a foreigner to speak as good of english as a born citizen...your just nitpicking. Also I'm sure the fans and people who seen her that only spoke french and italian and seen her and met her and was able to speak with her in their native tonuge just kept repating my name is my name is COME ON!

I love Adriana so much <3 From what I've heard she speaks good English...i think it's just the accent that puts people off. And of course, there's the occasional slip-up, but that happens to everyone. I think VS would definitely care if she spoke English well, considering I thought their biggest market was America. They're hardly going to put people out there if they can't promote their product.

For me, I think you need to be fluent to be slightly conversational - the things that people come out with in everyday conversation and not you know...basics. Or the extremely foundation stuff you learn when first beginning to learn a language.

I do find it strange about the Spanish/Spanish Rumours though, I thought Portuguese and Spanish were fairly similar. Oh well, shows how much I know :L For me though, she's adorable...so quirky. Her singing is HILARIOUS <3 I just love her. How can someone who can be dorky sometimes still be sexy!? it's not even fair =(

Actually yes portuguese and spanish are really alike but that doesnt mean that the brazilians have to know its like me I dont know portuguese hahaha but I can understand quite a bit, I think the same happens to adriana
