I'm from the US and I think Adriana speaks English very fluently.

I know people who have been born speaking English that don't speak as well as Adriana LOL

She was born with Portuguese, and she's never stated she hasn't read a book it's actually one of her favorite pastimes!!!! Her family is always telling our site that she reads all the time, and she always talks in interviews about her favorite books!

Also VS is very very interested in how well they talk because they are spokesmodels!!! They are actually put through speech classes!!! Because they give interviews, go on talk shows, on radio shows, and do PR anyone who says you don't have to speak english to do those things are out of their minds!

It's very obvious she speaks English, Portuguese, French and Italian. I'm sorry but I'm arguing with someone who say she doesn't speak Portuguese properally. I'm sorry but enough said.

You can listen to her interviews and she speaks all of those languages very well. Again I've been a fan since 2002 and I've seen and read all her interviews and I can re assure you along with AdrianaFLima's contacts she speaks those languages.


Also if you have ever watched any video where she speaks both and all languages she speaks a lot more than "My name is..." I'm sorry but you just haven't educated yourself properlly on the matter. You are judging her english on a darn accent, I have a thicker accent than she does and I speak english it doesn't mean I can only say "My name is..." it's impossible for a foreigner to speak as good of english as a born citizen...your just nitpicking. Also I'm sure the fans and people who seen her that only spoke french and italian and seen her and met her and was able to speak with her in their native tonuge just kept repating my name is my name is COME ON!

1.The fact that on her website is mentioned she's reading all the time doesn't make me belive this.The only thing that made me realise how much she does read are her own speeches/interviews.(and this is exactly what I mean by saying "her Portuguese isn't very well )

3.Belive me, I read/heard enough interviews of her to be able to speak about this and to express my own opinion;I also read other models' interviews, and to make a comparison I would say it's such a pleasure for me to read Doutzen Kroes' interviews, she's so modest and down-to-earth, and even though she said her English isn't so good I have to say it is pretty good.So bad she doesn't make the VS show anymore

There have been pictures of her reading...she reads a bible backstage for crying out loud. Also I don't think her family or friends would lie to us about her reading. Plus in NO WAY can you tell how much a person reads by how they talk...there is no way, she reads a lot of books in Portuguese, French and English it's one of her favorite things to do. Her cousin even told us (adrianaflima.com) that sometimes she will just get up and go read on the couch and not want to be bothered. Plus it doesn't matter to call her Portuguese not well is just beyond words! She was born in Brazil her first language is Portuguese, her Portuguese is perfect! Her English is immaculate as well. I don't know why you don't watch some interviews, Adriana is actually very intelligent, I think it's you wanting to make Adriana not intelligent that makes you form this opinion. Plus if she couldn't speak english very well she wouldn't be spending most of her time with her boyfriend who only speaks his own language as well as English...that's what they speak to each other, um and there are rumors they are engaged so I don't think you can base a relationship like that off of what you say she speaks. Also I'm sorry but doutzen is very very far behind Adriana in English, again it's like pulling teeth. Adriana is very intelligent she speaks French, Italian and English very well, and you can tell it in many interviews. Plus to put down her Portuguese is just juvenile

And I agree that Adriana is definitely fluent in english. She's a very funny person, in my opinion And she definitely knows how to say things that are not connected with her projects :/

As for Doutzen, I don't think she's quite as fluent as Adri, but she's still really good, and I love to read her interviews and things as well <3

anyway yes the one guy woman comment in english means she doesn't look around and she doesn't believe in dating more than one guy at a time. Also she never dated Derek Jeter, that was a rumor when she went out to lunch with him with a friend who knew him.

Besides I've never heard someone with bad english talk with words such as Individuality, Romance, and words that she uses in this video. But anyone I don't think it's her english.

Yes I know..but what else is she going to say in a 5 second span. Also like you said she pronounces the words very well, and she says it quickly...people who know a few words don't speak like that...it's very easy to see it's easy for her as opposed to when she tries and speak Spanish...you can see how much she struggles

As you can see she pretty much asks the reporter to say it english..by leading on she doesn't understand. Believe me, she knows French she's known it for years. People who met her in France when she lived there said they saw her speaking French to her friends before even going up and saying hi. There are also French people who have met her who only speak French and a little English and she spoke to them in fluent French. She also had an agency in Paris as well that managed her career more than DNA did, so there is a lot stacking up. She knows French, it's not that hard to swallow

She lived there for a year, also the Prince spoke French as well better than English so I'm guessing that's how they communicated.

I don't understand why it's so hard for people to believe she's multi-lingual. It's not like she's stupid far from it...all in all she's a normal person who got lucky in her career, and normal people (most) know several or at least 1 other language.

I know from our sources, and from being a fan and reading comments from others that have met her that she speaks multiple languages.
