My my my, this thread sure does move fast - and angry fast. Adriana's popularity seems to be incurring some pretty contrasting emotions in some people. =] i do agree, however, that people shouldn't be posting on the thread if they're not here to evaluate and encourage Adriana's progress in a positive manner - constructive criticism, yes. Playing her against other models, no.

In my opinion, Adriana deserves the bra, because I think she's beautiful and for me, she always brings LOTS of fun and beauty to the VS show. Doutzen is a beautiful girl, yes, and I do agree that she would look fantastic wearing the bra, but I do think that VS should give it someone who they've made an oficial angel. I don't see the point in making people official Angels unless they're planning on giving them you know...the perks. Expensive perks, too.

If Adriana didn't get it this year, I would probably want it to go to Izabel Goulart, just because she's lovely. Miranda, for me, has far more recognition than Iza, and they should do something to bring up Miss. G's profile a bit. Either way, if Adriana got it, then that would be lovely <3

first of all , the reason doutzen wasnt at the VS last year , was because she was receiving an award for model of the year ( Marie Claire)thats why she wasnt there!!!



Doutzen's profile /name is quite big , (he has signed several commercial contracts Calvin klein white label ,L'oreal. calvin klein ternity and De Beers)and does frequent interviews and still does highfashionwork.

for the people that are saying that doutzen's english isnt as good as adriana's they need to listen better.Doutzen speaks better english then adriana .(even the hardcore adriana fans cant deny this)

As you can tell im a big doutzen fan ,but i think adriana getting the bra is something that was long overdue.She should have got the bra years ago and VS needs to show her some respect !!i still dont understand why adriana always gets overshadowed by the other girls.

Oh really Lady? Is that why Tim is begging her to come back...why she was hounded by Paps when she was in Italy...that she was so famous there that reports called her the Cathrine Zeta Jones of Italy. I think it's you not wanting to admit it...because they interviewed people on the street about Adriana (a video I've seen) and everyone pretty much knew who she was.

first of all, this is not adri vs. doutzen competition.... i cannot understand why all this 'she done this and that while the other did that and this'.

and second, IMO Doutzen is just a pretty face like Claudia was, while Adriana is not just pretty but also she is just sexy... you see her and it is like hot, hot, hot...men want to have sex with her and girls want to act and be as sexy as Adri. she looked like that when she was just a teen, she is just born with it.

First of all there isn't even a VS store in italy my dear so how can people possibly know her as a VS girl??

And second of all, the reason why her name was all over those commercials was because nobody knew her.

and yes of course, dating Marko Jaric gave her a HUGE popularity boost.

So we've gone from arguing about whether Adriana can speak her own language fluently blink to arguing about why she's better than/worse than Doutzen, and now we're arguing about Victoria's Secret stores in Europe.

I live in Britain, but we don't have VS stores. I wouldn't know VS if it wasn't for the models.

Anyway, back to ADRIANA! <--- does anyone else find that there are a lot of models who seem to have an adriana essence to them? The intimissimi girl (Irina Sheik/many other names she has, her last name is IMPOSSIBLE, shayklismimova, or something?) for VS reminds me of her. They can never seem to get Adriana completely though. I think she's too original for that.

I agree amy...the one thing Adriana has that I don't find in other Adriana like models is that Adriana can look so sexy, but when she smiles she can look so cute and innocent and demure. She has something that is so original..and she has multiple looks, as opposed to other models who can only seem to pull off sexy.
