That's not the point i'm trying to make. All i'm saying, & i'm sure you'd even agree, was that her performance in 2005 was completely different from her performances at VS today...which is why she is no longer one of my favourite..& i personally don't find that behaviour she does "sexy".

She was sooooooooooooooo sexy in 2005. Like..all i could say was wow. She looked so awful in the 06 & 07 show,IMO.

AMEN!!!! She had been my favorite model but her recent walks have just been "cute" and not "sexy." It's her sex appeal that has made her the famous model she is. Her pictures are still sexy but I miss the Adriana from '00-'05

I agree with you, and her attitude on the catwalk was another one untill 2005.She was more sexy and sensual, in the last 2 VS show all she's doing is laughing and makeing those "stupid kid" faces. Anyway, I'm waiting for the 2008 show.

i agree Ladychambord in the new vs show there was no normal posing pics of lima. she was either with her mouth open or making a weird face or with her arms in the air. maybe cos it was a quirky theme. i hope this yrs show she is more sensible

i agree with you too Ladychambord, she was so much sexier way back in2000. Like back then she was more sexy and sultry and a serious model, now i think she is like a muppet.
and all the silly faces she makes ruin her beautifull face, because she is still sexy and sultry its just hidden behind the silly faces.

I also think its just how the shows have progressed. The themes are just too much now IMO. The outfits are not as sultry as they used to be and that reflects on the models too. Looking at the pictures imagining Adriana posing like she did in 2002 with last 07 outfit wouldnt work either

Well if her being herself is losing fans...maybe they weren't true fans in the first place. It's odd for a fan to ask her not to be herself just to please their needs and what they want to see...she's having fun, being successful and that should be all that matters. And again to the public she's entertaining. Again she was the crowd favorite...heck look at Tyra...she was very quirky on the runway but heck look where she is now...she is one of the most famous people in the world.

I understand her personality...I'm very bubbly in person. I'm very hyper, that's why I like her personality, she doesn't blend in with the other models and that's why i personally love her. You must remember she's a very very shy girl (she didn't even like showing her legs, and she was walking in underwear!) so in the beginning of her vs career she walked very tense you can tell it very easily. You can tell in each show she's become more and more self assured. She's just become more outgoing and more her true self instead of being so shy. She's progressed into being her true self.

You are right about the shows though...everyone says taking the show back to NY would help....the location doesn't matter at ALL. It's all how the show is produced and designed...they could easily pull a 2005 or 2003 in LA if they worked on it.

IMO they should do another Angel tour...introduce the new angel squad to America like they had before...the tour was a huge success before. Take them to a few different cities, and have the girls interact with fans and give the production team to come up with something new and fresh, like when they took a break from the show in 2004 by the time the show came back in 2005, it got better ratings. Plus it would give Adriana some time to promote her pretty much being the mama angel, and also give ale some leeway since she would be wearing cloths after her pregnancy and not revealing lingerie. Now the only problem is fans of the other models who participate in the show say "No because we won't get pics" But all in all, fans of the other models get more pics during the year than most of the angel fans do because the other models still do fashion weeks and eds as opposed to the angels. So I truly wish they'd drop the show this year and do the Angel tour.

Love all those VS pictures. I've never liked her as much as I did back in 2001-2003. She was at her height, beauty wise imo.

I do however love how much more of her personality she shows now. She's definitely grown up alot over the years. I do wish that she would tone the silly faces just a tad.

I totally agree with BahianChic about the tour stuff and that fans of other models get pics during the year! and about the faces and poses I mean I personally preferred Adriana being sexy but I still like her making funny faces and watching her comfortable in the runway!

But when you develop a large fan base by acting one way and then change; you are gonna lose some people and thats really what i was trying to say and you really cant deny that. The pictures prove it and people have been saying it. And im ONLY talking about the shows so dont bash me on this because i know her personality (from then to now) hasnt changed. And also not everyone is gonna be a "true fan" and spend all their time adoring her.

AND OF COURSE SHES A CROWD FAVORITE who else does america really know on VS??? Heidi and Adriana are really if you think about it are the only models a common american person would know about. Not even half the people who watch the show can recognize and name every model like most of us can. So when Adriana does come out of course they are gonna cheer her on just as if it were Gisele, Naomi, or Tyra (people a typical person can recognize). And yes tyra was quirky on the runway but theres a difference btw IMO what Tyra would do and what Adriana is doing. Im not a big fan of tyra but she was really quirky in lets say 1 of the 3 walks but the other 2 would be the struted walk she was KNOWN FOR whereas all of Adriana's recent walks have been completely different and of course i'm gonna cheer her on bc believe it or not i am a fan but i do miss what originally made me a fan and thats what my previous post meant to say and dont argue with me about my opinion.

haha, that picture progression is kinda funny. i still love adriana now...but back in the day she was just perfection. her demeaner was definitely more appealing and mysterious, and her body was KILLER.

But, I do have to say, her walk has improved each year. She's done better each year.


She'll always be my favorite model.
I actually think she's 1 of the most beautiful women in the world. She steadily holds the #1 spot on my list.

Forgive me if Im wrong but wasnt 2004 the last year Adriana did any High Fashion runway? At least on a regular basis? Maybe thats the difference. Before she was in full "model" mode, now its different. I can see that Karolina's walk has changed a little too now that she isnt doing runway as regularly.

Again I say keep in mind, this last year the girls were told to give more and be a lot more hyper and out there on the runway. Izabel, Alessandra, Selita, Heidi, all of them were as well as most of the pink girls. The girls were told to do that, as well. Even the VS people told Adriana to do more...you can hear the people say "Adriana's giving it some" and you can hear after she comes off stage "She knows it she knows" "Whoooo" So it's something the company wants. Not something she was just doing...and you can hear at one point the backstage say "More faces in this one, more faces" Even ed backstage says "Keep your energy up, and have fun"

It's not supposed to be a regular runway guys the girls are pushed to act outrageous and have fun.

Each year the girls are given the theme of the show, and they are supposed to reflect that theme and act along with the theme. In 2003 the theme was Broadway and Sex theme, so they were told to be more sexy and sensual. 2005 was sexy little things theme, so they were told to have fun and be playful (hence the can can at the end and the playfulness the models had with the candy theme) Now in 2007 it was artsy, and playful and outrageous and sexy and that's what the girls were told to produce.
