It's a racist ingrained stereotype - thinking that ethnic means looking like tar babies and having big lips...sorta like blackface

I'm going to give this one he benefit of the doubt. Not all make-up artists, or designer know what kind of make-up blends right with the model's complexion. Just like too much white make-up shouldn't be on a model with pale skin
