SUDANESE-born Melbourne model Ajak Deng is celebrating after securing a lucrative contract with cosmetics giant MAC.

Her Melbourne manager, Stephen Bucknall, confirmed that Deng had signed to be one of MAC's models for next year.

"This puts her at the top and she will now be one of the most sought-after models in the world," Bucknall said.

"Fragrances or cosmetic campaigns are considered the most prestigious of any assignments."

Deng will be back home in Australia for a month soon and has confirmed she will be at the FRM Models Christmas Party at Fog in Greville St.

The model has also finished a photo shoot for American Vogue with famed fashion photographer Scott Trindle.

I am happy for Ajak. I remember not too long ago when she was somewhat distraught about not being cast more for shows in one of the anti-African model cities, and now look at what has happened. I also agree that she has the facial features made to carry a makeup campaign.
