I dont get the "Ghesquière Girl" either, but it is SO awesome seeing her in a different type of styling. She looks a little rough, but cooler and older at the same time. I like it!

the first cover is very 90s and the second one is very 80s, so i agree that they both feel dated. i understand they are something different and give her a new vibe, which is okay. i'm good with that. but i still maintain that they're not very flattering. maybe it's that bad bronzed coloured backdrop? not sure. but those covers aren't working for me and i've revisited them a few times now.

I do think Alexa would probably look even better at that event without make-up. In the candid photos she looks 100%, at the Christian Siriano thing she looks like a trailer park mother. Something about her face gets harsh when she gets all 'done up'.
