Alexa Chung Photographed Cara Delevingne And Other Friends For Paper Magazine
Alexa Chung captured stunning intimate images of her famous friends — including Cara Delevingne, Dakota Johnson and Daisy Lowe for the April issue of Paper magazine.
This is Chung's first feature as a photographer; the British native began her career as a model. After morphing into a major fashion icon, she branched out to also become a designer, television presenter and contributing editor at British Vogue.
Chung was also interviewed for Paper magazine, where she opened up about living in New York.
"That's the nice thing about living in New York," she told the publication. "There's enough expats there that it feels like a big community, and we all swap friends. I like that cross-pollination. With the Internet and travel, everyone's kind of in on the joke now."
Most of Chung's photographs — which also featured buddies Jenny Eliscu, Brianna Lance, Pixie Geldof, Aimee Phillips, Matt Hitt, Drew Elliott, Tabitha Simmons, Waseem Cheema, Harley Viera-Newton and Tennesse Thomas were taken in New York.
The model-turned-photographer also told Paper about the biggest adjustment when she moved to the U.S. from England.
"You know when you get in a taxi and you go, 'Please can you take me to 7th and B,' and they don't answer? I found that so rude, because London taxi drivers will tell you everything about the city, to the point where it's annoying in the opposite way," she explained. "But now I realize it's just how the city works. What's the point of talking when you can just get sh** done?"
