I think she might have been there last year too, to interview Karl for Fashion Rocks Is Coming. If she did, no one bothered to take her pictureShe's at chanel couture!!Looks like she really has been accepted by the fashion pack then!
She said in a Company magazine interview -
elleukAlexa Joins the Fashion Pack in Paris for Chanel Couture
Always one of the most hotly anticipated shows of couture week, yesterday Karl Lagerfeld sent his latest collection down, or should that be around, the catwalk.
For this show Mr Lagerfeld, who has been know to construct giant merry-go-rounds and huge Chanel jackets in the centre of his circular runways had a selection of towering 50 foot, steel grey tubular bells craned in to the Grand Palais in Paris.
And the tubular theme was also reflected in the clothes, a masterclass in volume and cut, showcasing the considerable talents of Karl Lagerfeld and his skilled atalier. The message was clearly volume, in the shape of oversized shoulders and hips, ultra cinched waists which created exaggerated silhouettes, tubular lines and cocoon shaped coats and dresses. The colour palatte was typically for Chanel, mainly black white and grey, which meant focus lay squarely on shape.
This did not mean that hair and accessories were neglected however. If this show is anything to go by the bob reigns supreme as fashion's haircut of choice. As with YSL's a/w 08 show, every model had a blunt fringed, bowl cut, which looked utlra modern, almost futuristic, while for shoes it looks like the return of the pointy toe court will be the biggest news come next spring.
Of course Lagerfeld drew a stella crowd to his front row. International fashion muse Daphne Guinness, supermodel Claudia Schiffer and our very own Alexa Chung - a girl who's fashion credentials are soaring almost daily - were all front and centre for the show.
And while Claudia donned a classic Chanel suit and Daphne sported her trademark couture look trust Alexa to inject a dose of London street-chic to the proceedings in her black mini smock and leather Belstaff biker jacket.
We wonder if following Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse, Alexa is next on Mr Lagerfeld's list of Brit-'It' girl muses?

Every summer T4 decamps to sunny Weston-super-Mare for its very own music festival - the aptly-named T4 On The Beach. This year's event features the usual poptastic lineup, with everyone from Adele to Alphabeat to The Hoosiers due to rock the Somerset crowd. We hooked up with two of the event's presenters, Alexa Chung and Rick Edwards, to find out more. Warning: Scouting For Girls fans might want to take a deep breath before they begin reading.
Are you feeling nervous about presenting live from T4 On The Beach this year?
Alexa: "I am! Last year we had a bit of a go at it - we introduced a few acts but not on camera - and that was scary enough."
Rick: "I think it's intimidating because there are such a lot of screaming faces looking at you. The crowd get massively excited - it's a combination of sun and bands and sweets."
Alexa: "And sex?"
Rick: "No sex! Most of them are under 16."
Alexa: "No, no sex."
What do you think of this year's lineup so far?
Alexa: "It's great. I'm very happy about Lightspeed Champion and Adele being on the bill. I'm looking forward to Sam Sparro too, because 'Black and Gold' is one of my favourite songs at the moment."
Rick: "It's good to have the staple acts too. It wouldn't be T4 On The Beach without McFly, would it? Are Girls Aloud playing this year?"
Alexa: "No, they're not actually. Do you feel cheated?"
Rick: "Slightly."
This year's T4 On The Beach will be the sixth. Why do you think it's become such a staple of the summer festival season?
Alexa: "Because it's one of the only festivals that has that certain vibe to it. Young people can come along and feel safe and it's just one day, so nothing gets destroyed by people camping. The acts have been consistently good over the years too."
And it's one of the only festivals now that has quite a poppy lineup.
Alexa: "Exactly. Some people are embarrassed by pop and I don't think they should be because it's the best music ever. We shouldn't all be pretending we're into crunk! Why not have a dance to The Hoosiers or Scouting For Girls? Actually, I can give you lots of reasons why you shouldn't dance to Scouting For Girls. I'll give you sixteen..."
Rick: "Number one: have you heard their song?"
Alexa: "Two: have you seen what they look like? Three: have you seen those two things combined?"
Rick: "Joking aside, though, they are very successful. Their album was number one on the UK charts."
Alexa: "Sure. Other people can like them."
There were a lot of drunk Hollyoaks stars prowling about at T4 On The Beach last year. What advice would you give to festival-goers who encounter them?
Alexa: "Kiss them and sell your story!"
Rick: "Kiss, hug, get an autograph, get a photo..."
Alexa: "Grope!"
Are you a bit of a fan, Alexa?
Alexa: "You know, Rick loves them so much that I don't have to. It wouldn't make sense if we had the same passions. I stick to Vanity Lair."
Rick: "I'm a huge Hollyoaks fan so I'm massively looking forward to seeing them. I've been an extra on the show and I've got some of their numbers on my phone: Matt Littler, who used to play Max; Darren Jeffries, who played OB; James Sutton, who plays JP..."
Alexa: "Dog In The Pond!"
Rick: "That's where my extra role was."
Alexa: "I think they should form a band and stop ligging backstage. They could form a Hollyoaks electro band and blow all the other acts off stage."
Alexa Chung and Rick Edwards present this year's T4 On The Beach music festival, airing live on Channel 4 on July 20.
telegraphAlexa Chung: TV presenter
"What's on my iPod? The Rascals, The Shangri-la's, I'm Not In Love by 10cc, and Natasha Bedingfield."

Cavalli told her that her dress "looks nice on you, but it is not my style". She just burst out laughing
So he brought her to a Cavalli shop to try on one of his pieces - he didn't recognise it, an assistant had to confirm that it was actually Cavalli
. I'd imagine it'll do well in the ratings too. The show got a bad review in The Times, who gave it 1/5 and said of Alexa-I think this is going to be alexa's most highrated show although the critics seemed to be hating this this show
For some reason, Alexa Chung presided over a sprint race between women wearing high-heeled shoes, which was as pointless as it sounds and looked painful not funny. Later Chung met the designer Roberto Cavalli at his Florence home and found out not one interesting fact about him, but instead tried to ingratiate herself in that wide-eyed, sly way of hers.
Elsewhere, Alexa tested different brands of stiletto heels by organising a sprint race. For what it's worth, Alessandro Dell'Acqua came last, although if you can afford Alessandro Dell'Acqua, you're probably not going to be running for the bus too often; but in any case, without a handicapping system for the runners, this was completely invalidated. Or am I missing the point? Finally, in contradiction to all this "high-street-is-best" stuff, Alexa went to Florence to worship at the shrine of the designer Roberto Cavalli, who apparently used to dress Geri Halliwell, although he seemed mercifully vague about that one. Mind you, he didn't even recognise his own frock when Alexa turned up in one ("Cavalli? Cavalli?"), so Geri shouldn't take it personally.
Meanwhile Alexa Chung is off in Italy interviewing Roberto Cavalli and he's telling her how the colour of his parrots influences his collections. Chung has garnered a decent fashion reputation over the past 18 months and some have said she could damage her style kudos by doing the show. But her post-Popworld half-sceptical, half-upbeat style of interviewing fits in seamlessly with Gokworld. That, added to the fact that Gok's power panel are all bona fide members of the fashion industry rather than cringeworthy fashion wannabes, only enhances Alexa's reputation as stylish in a non-neurotic way.
Alexa Chung
Alexa was festival fabulous at Glastonbury in denim shorts, a stripy T-shirt and a rock & roll leather jacket. We spotted a similar look on pal Pixie Geldof earlier in the day, but love how Alexa added her signature prep by pulling up her socks under her wellies.

instyleAlexa Chung threw a little luxury into her festival get-up with a beaded Matthew Williamson kaftan top which retails at £1,295!
Alex told the BBC that it was Alexa's idea to ask Jack White to play with them.

Dizzee Rascal looking forward to Alexa Chung's marriage
East Londoner Dizzee, whose new track with Calvin Harris, Dance Wiv Me, is out today, said: "They are perfect for each other. Whenever I see them they are so close. I'm just waiting for my wedding invite now."
londonpaperLoved-up Alex Turner and Alexa Chung were getting no love from the Kings of Leon at Glastonbury on Friday night.
The duo tried to sneak backstage to the Pyramid stage to watch the Friday night headliners, but were turned away at the door.
“They showed off their VIP wrist bands, but the security staff were unimpressed,” an onlooker tells theBuzz.
It must have been tough for the Arctic Monkey, who last year was headlining in exactly the same spot.
newsoftheworldI HEAR there’s been a bit of monkeying around between TV presenter ALEXA CHUNG and her Arctic Monkeys boyfriend ALEX TURNER.
The pair spent most of the first night kissing and cuddling in the SingStar VIP area, and sharing their own little private jokes.
