Alexa Chung

The Sunday Times' People Like Them
HOT-DOG COOL
Faced with a choice, this past Hallowe’en, between a Dead Britney party and a shindig thrown by London fashion boutique Browns Focus, featuring Nobu canapés, of course I chose Browns. On the way there, I bumped into the host of the evening, Alexa Chung, heading off to change into a “big red number”, borrowed from the film wardrobe of Keira Knightley in The Duchess. We discussed new trends in fancy dress. “What I can’t stand,” said Alexa, “is girls who use it as an excuse to dress like a wh*re. It’s like, why are you in a sexy nurse outfit? Ditto boys who do Rocky Horror. I say, be a loo roll! Or a hot dog!” I didn’t have the heart to say that the hot-dog look on her was one thing. On the rest of us, another altogether.

^ True, they don't seem to have followed the correct legal procedure. There wouldn't be much point to airing it now anyway - the BBC have already done a documentary on the subject and then there's the current economic situation.
*snorts*

50% of the chicks invited to that Browns party were dressed in a "sexy" outfit. Including her friends Daisy Lowe and Pixie Geldof.
Hmm, I think she's free to make that comment as long as she herself isn't dressed as a sexy nurse.

T4 star's party gatecrashed by cops

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to..especially when cops raid your A-list bash, eh Alexa Chung?

The T4 presenter’s super-cool image took a big knock the other night when police raided her do and dragged away a worse-for-wear partygoer.
Sadly for an aghast Alexa, onlookers included Hollywood hunk JOSH HARTNETT, model DAISY LOWE and PIXIE GELDOF.

A guest told me: “Alexa was so embarrassed. The raid ruined her night.”

Why would Alexa be embarrassed by that?!

Will Alex Turner propose to Alexa Chung on holiday in Mexico?

Rock's most loved-up couple Arctic Monkey Alex Turner and TV presenter Alexa Chung have been staying at the £1,000-a-night Roosevelt Hotel in LA while Alex plays gigs with his side-project band Last Shadow Puppets.

Now they're heading down Mexico way for a week-long break at an idyllic seaside resort.

Time to pop the question, Alex?

God, I'm so envious of her lifestyle ^_^

you could have the same kind if you want to.

LOL true:p

Hmm, I think she's free to make that comment as long as she herself isn't dressed as a sexy nurse.
No she's not. It's a bit silly to judge people like that when her friends [the people she chose to associate herself with] were dressed that way.

I hope she doesn't forget to eat during that time.

What?! I was just referring to the amount of travelling she seems to do. I have a half-finished 5,000 word essay due on Tuesday, so I definately won't be jetting off to Mexico unfortunately :p

Her outfit today in Frock Me...I loved the shoes, but they looked so clunky with the rest of her outfit. Anyone else agree?

She seemed to be a GIANT in those shoes. But I agree. I loved the cardigan that she wore!
Oh, and the show made me like Eva Mendes more, she was so adorable.
And I didn't know if I should cry or laugh when Henry Holland was showing me his workout plan and he made those "UH-FEROSH" faces to the camera.
I felt so helpless, mummy. LMFAO!

In my opinion, Alex is discussed a lot in this thread and sometimes it's not very relevant to Alexa and/or her style. It doesn't really bother me because I like Alex, but it might be repetitive for those who couldn't care less about him. Bit sorry I mentioned it now though, it's not important :ninja::p

YES! thank you. no offence to anyone but i really have no interest in alex turner and it gets REALLY boring reading pages of discussion about him on here...

Miquita Oliver (a T4 presenter) was interviewed by the Guardian last week.
Is there much rivalry between the presenters on T4 [Channel 4's weekend morning show]?
No. If it was Alexa [Chung], Rick [Edwards], me and then Steve [Jones] - one of us on every week - then it probably would get a bit weird. But it's all very jumbled, and we go on tours together, so you don't have time to be rivals, because you're having such a laugh. When Alexa started I realised I hadn't worked with another woman, ever, which was quite terrifying.

Are you jealous of the press attention Alexa gets?
No. I think Alexa's great. If you're around her she's very "fashion". She used to be a model and she's obsessed with fashion, always talking about it. And she's very poised, she's very much part of that world.
