"I'VE been working, so I've not had chance to see many shows unfortunately," Alexa Chung, looking chic in a By Malene Birger blouse, told us at last night's Mulberry party. After the Vivienne Westwood Red Label show, the fashion pack trooped over to the label's New Bond street store for the launch of Hadley Freedman's new book, The Meaning of Sunglasses - mingling with the likes of Cuba Gooding Jr, Erin O'Connor, Jamie Winstone, Lily Allen and Kimberley Stewart, sipping Beefeater Gin cocktails served by buff "pool boys" in red shorts and tight Ts, and generally soaking up the Club Tropicana-style atmosphere before DJ Hot Chip shook things up at 11pm. "I did see Luella this morning though, and it was amazing," Chung added. "I had to interview her afterwards and I felt like such a dick saying 'I loved the show,' because that's what everyone says, but I really meant it - I would've worn every single outfit!" The T4 presenter - who was enjoying a very public love-in with Arctic Monkeys boyfriend Alex Turner (well, it was Valentine's Day) - admitted she might give the big bed hair that's proving such a hit on the autumn/winter catwalks a miss though. "Crimping? I don't think so," she said. "Anyway, I haven't got enough hair to do that with now!"

No doubt that Alexa will make it up to her Arctic Monkey boyfriend Alex Turner over the weekend.

I agree. She pulls it off in the photos where she's posing properly e.g.

but in most of them she looks really awkward. It would have worked better for her with scruffy hair, more natural make up and a different colour of dress...
