Her MTV chat show has been axed in the States but presenter Alexa Chung has no plans to quit New York - much to the chagrin of her boyfriend, Arctic Monkeys singer Alex Turner.

‘Alexa loves New York and wants to stay out there as people love her quirky Britishness,’ says a pal.
‘She is focused on making a name for herself in America and is already working on a new show with MTV that will keep her out there until at least the spring.

As far as i know she uses contact lenses. And during long flights when you need to sleep, they bug your eye quite a lot. Especially when there is too much air conditioning going on.

Yeah, she wears contacts so she needs glasses... And if you mean oversized glasses by "these glasses", that's quite offensive since I wear them. But it looks better on me than rectangular glasses.
