Alexa Chung | Page 777 | the Fashion Spot

Alexa Chung

i thought the article was very revealing about the shifts in her personal style and attitudes, especially about (1) how she 'does sexy, but not sl*tty' and (2) how she feels about being called an 'it-girl'. it was only a few years back that she commented that she liked to dress like a little boy and how she doesn't do "sexy" because it makes her feel awkward [forgot which article, sorry!].

I seem to remember reading an article recently that she said she used to think she hated 'sexy', but got talking to a photographer about it and realised it wasn't sexy that she hated, it was page 3 models portrayl of sexy. She said something along the lines of liking to be subtley sexy.

As regards her writing, whenever I read her articles it always seems like she just used a thesaurus for everything. Perhaps trying a bit too hard with it? I do admire her for trying to be more than a face though.

i was having a little browse on cobrasnake and found an album of alexa's madewell launch party. its got some nice pictures of her and the collection. unfortunately, i have yet to master the skill of uploading photos, but there is a link below.
some may disagree, but i really like the velvet dress that Tennessee is seen wearing. its possible its from the collection, as there is one similar in the collection, or it inspired the dress in the collection!!!

Totally agree, she is a terrible undergraduate-type writer. It's telling that her Vogue writing is always accompanied by mounds of photos of her...

From wwd.com:
Alexa Chung's Mulberry Bag in Hong Kong

No sooner had Milan Fashion Week wrapped up then Alexa Chung and Emma Hill flew to Hong Kong for a whirlwind press launch of the new Mulberry S/S10 line and Alexa bag.

Press and VIPs across the Asia region, from Japan to South Korea, were treated to a fashion show at the flagship Mulberry boutique at the Elements shopping mall in Kowloon on Thursday night. This was followed by a cocktail and dinner at trendy Azure bar and lounge where the "It" girl and designer got into the party spirit with body paint and glitter.

"I've not had much time to see Hong Kong yet but so far it's been ace!" said Chung, decked out in Mulberry's Spring collection and Marni heels. But there's no rest for this duo as they'll be headed onwards to Denmark, then Paris for the remainder of the global launch.

her bangs are starting to look a bit combover-ish. haha. she looks really pretty in those hong kongs pictures. her face seems fuller, which i like! :)

In the past two days I have read pages 9-99, which I think is quite an achievement and y opionion of her has changed about 5 times throughout, it's now somewhere between dislike of her and love for her clothes.
I liked her hair at the Mulberry event, nice to see her having some fun too, a smile and whatnot.
Also, will someone please tell her to stop fratenising with Pixie.
That Kevin Bishop youtube really wasn't very accurate, the clothes weren't even right.
