Alexa Chung

God Henry Holland really reminds me of Syndrome from Pixar's the Incredibles...
Now that you point that out I can totally see the resemblance:lol:

Alexa looks nice in that pick and I really loved when she wore that Future Classics dress^_^

I really liked the article. It was random but it was interesting. I was obsessed with Romeo and Juliet too and was so desperate I read the play...
Anyway, I loved her hair liked that too, Diamond Sea. Perfection! I also loved it a little bit shorter.
I don't understand these comments about being told off for talking about a celebrity's smile.... is it a euphemism?

hum...this is random but i found this blog and this is what was written

This post is starting much like the last one- with a sheepish apology. I have been M.I.A. recently trying to sort out the foggy situation that is my future. This adds up to frantically attempting to nab a 'real' job and working at Look magazine. Look has been fun and I have learned a lot so far. Namely that Look and Grazia don't exactly see eye to eye, Danny Dyer cheats on his wife with cheap air hostesses, Alexa Chung wants £10,000 for a single interview and the IPC canteen is the most amazing place on earth. Guinea fowl and banoffee pie for lunch for under a fiver. Bye bye Pret.

is this even possible? would she actually charge that much for an interview?

its obviously just a rumour. theres no way she would charge that much, she's one of the more realistic celebrity figures. i mean she recycles articles of clothing, which is fantastic.

on topic though.. i just watched an episode of Gok's (yeah its old i know haha) but i love Alexa's sense of humour.. haha.

Just because she recycles articles of clothing [mind you, super expensive stuff], that doesn't mean she's realistic. She could be poor or spending too much on crap lol

Or it could mean she doesn't actually spend thousands of dollars on clothes. I'm sure she's not poor.. and she recycles super expensive stuff? Really. I mean how many times has alexa been photographed in the Sonic Youth tee, or her coats (usually from topshop). She's not Victoria Beckham she doesn't spend a fortune on a lot. That's why she's turned towards as fashionable.

Besides I was just making a point that the fact that she demands 10,000 quid an interview is unrealistic.

Just stating my opinion and, what I've seen Alexa dressed in.

That's really brilliant! The purse strap just broke the other day and I can't seem to fix it - I might just get a guitar strap!

I was thinking the same thing. :D
Have a broken purse and a guitar strap, I'll get to that right a way. ^^

Who What Wear Styling Tips
line.jpg
Part of the fun of fashion is trying to articulate the je ne sais quoi quality that distinguishes an average outfit from a truly excellent ensemble. And while our answer to said query is still a work in progress, we do know it when we see it and are happy to share our findings with you. It is in that spirit of sartorial sharing that we present this month's installment of Who What Wear: Styling Tips. Hopefully, you will find these tidbits of wisdom as inspiring and instructive as we do!
..........................
Tip #3: Wear trendy accessories with great basic pieces

British TV personality Alexa Chung is a true fashion all-star with a keen ability to seamlessly weave unique vintage finds with key designer pieces. During Paris Fashion Week, Chung was spotted teetering around town in Louis Vuitton's Spicy Sandals ($2790) and Savane Flight Bag ($2910, 866.VUITTON), surely the most marvelously over-the-top accessories to come out of the S/S 09 season. Chung smartly balanced the bold statement of the shoes and bag with an understated sweater dress she discovered in an anonymous boutique in Paris. So, dear readers, take note: if you are going to show off a spectacularly strong accessory or two (and we suggest that you do!) make sure to temper the look with a more basic piece. Whether you want to splurge on something like YSL's Patent Cage Belt
show
($495) and Cage Boot ($1590) or decide to rock Topshop's Patent Cut Out Waisted Belt ($50) and Lattice Caged Sandals ($145), don't force them to compete with an equally au courant item!

With that sort of discretion, the Look intern will go far :p I don't know anything about interview fees, so that figure doesn't mean much to me. However, she gave an interview to a uni magazine a few months ago, and I very much doubt they paid her 10 grand :innocent:

plus you have to include a source otherwise the moderators have to kill a small kitten or something.

Yeah, I'm not really a cat person :p

Where's that cardigan from that she's wearing with the LV heels? I really love it. Hopefully it's not LV. Obviously LV gave her the bag and shoes.

Maybe that blog post is having us on, that's just ludicrous.

I agree, she seems to attract criticism whenever she wears anything designer, or makes the slightest hint that she's earning decent money.

When she first started out she wore lots of 'mid range' designer stuff, I recall seeing a lot of Antipodium, and I remember she's always loved Luella, and obviously she gets quite a bit of Luella for free :innocent:

But she's quite good at mixing cheaper stuff - which doesn't necessarily show that she's broke, or rolling it, but that she's open to all options of clothing. Didn't she once describe herself as a shopaholic? And how many times has she worn some Topshop/H&M items that has made everyone want to go out and buy it?

Meanwhile, her article is kinda cute, but just so rambly and random. It's like arbitrary sentences strung together.
