i thought the article was very revealing about the shifts in her personal style and attitudes, especially about (1) how she 'does sexy, but not sl*tty' and (2) how she feels about being called an 'it-girl'. it was only a few years back that she commented that she liked to dress like a little boy and how she doesn't do "sexy" because it makes her feel awkward [forgot which article, sorry!].
As regards her writing, whenever I read her articles it always seems like she just used a thesaurus for everything. Perhaps trying a bit too hard with it? I do admire her for trying to be more than a face though.

Alexa Chung's Mulberry Bag in Hong Kong
No sooner had Milan Fashion Week wrapped up then Alexa Chung and Emma Hill flew to Hong Kong for a whirlwind press launch of the new Mulberry S/S10 line and Alexa bag.
Press and VIPs across the Asia region, from Japan to South Korea, were treated to a fashion show at the flagship Mulberry boutique at the Elements shopping mall in Kowloon on Thursday night. This was followed by a cocktail and dinner at trendy Azure bar and lounge where the "It" girl and designer got into the party spirit with body paint and glitter.
"I've not had much time to see Hong Kong yet but so far it's been ace!" said Chung, decked out in Mulberry's Spring collection and Marni heels. But there's no rest for this duo as they'll be headed onwards to Denmark, then Paris for the remainder of the global launch.
In the past two days I have read pages 9-99, which I think is quite an achievement
