I really don't get how people are complaining about her rushing interviews? Basically every red carpet interview is rushed.

yeah, i agree. they're all dealing with tremendous time constraints. i suppose people are just fixating on the fact that there's something a little brisk in her manner, at times. i've always liked her interview style but it doesn't seem to translate well to american audiences.

thanks ^_^ That really cracks me up that, among aaaall the dresses out there, she picked Michelle Williams's curtain as the best. Like, seriously ?

not a fan of the red dress for the globes. i think all of the attention she's received for being an "icon" or whatever has pigeon-holed her into thinking she can ONLY wear outfits that are very "alexa." she probably feels like she HAS to do her own thing--in this case, wearing a totally inappropriate dress for a hollywood awards ceremony. this isn't a little fashion event in nyc or london, and she was representing a major tv network. she needed to play the part a bit! i bet in her mind, if she wore a more traditional red-carpet gown she would somehow lose her street cred. which doesn't have to be the case...if you look at her peers who are considered 'style icons' (i think of the olsens, chloe sevigny, etc) they know how to maintain their individuality--and evolve their style--while still looking appropriate for whatever event they're attending. i don't think alexa has demonstrated that she can do any of those things.

I noticed that her interviews often seemed short and abrupt at the GGs, but I got the impression that the producers were cutting her off. The producers on that thing sucked -- they kept having her send it back over to Carson but then they'd still have the camera on her for like 5 more seconds so you'd see her drop the mic. One time she was finishing talking to someone. She said, "Sorry, I..." and she had cut the person off, so I think as far as the GGs go, the producers were sucking.

Since we're talking about Alexa and Justin Bieber, here are the two of them at the GG. If he really did so, then..

^ omg that's hilarious. I don't think she was just joking around, cuz Alexa's reaction is one of pure shock/horror.

Seriously people, can we cut out all the pointless speculation in this thread? It's really getting annoying how so many people on this thread keep posting things completely speculating and assuming about what Alexa thinks and why she wears this or that, as if there has to be some special reason behind the things she wears. Unless you know her personally, you have zero idea. There is no point in over-analyzing things like this. We're all here to talk about and post pictures of her style. The end.

It's a forum about fashion, so what else do you want to talk about? Without speculation or analysis, the forum would be full of 'I love/hate her dress !' comments. Not very interesting...

I think she looked amazing at the Globes. just something beautiful and simple for doing interviews.

I think the red GG dress was beautiful.....I get fed up with red carpet busoms and sweeping strapless gowns...she looks elegant, sophisticated and totally classy.

Superga, the Italian trainer brand, has signed TV presenter and model Alexa Chung to front a new campaign to mark its 100th anniversary.

The ads will launch in February and are part of a drive to increase the brand’s presence in the UK. Superga specialises in vulcanised pumps and its 60 UK stockists include Manchester premium indie Oi Polloi and footwear indie Rift Shoes in Chiswick, west London. Chung was previously the face of Pepe Jeans until autumn 10, but the denim brand has replaced her with former Sports Illustrated model Anne Vyalitsyna for its spring 11 campaign.

Fashion is subjective and is about opinions. Just because people happen to be die hard fans of a certain person, being defensive and rude when someone posts a comment with a different opinion is just unneccessary really.
