I really hope thats not true. I would definately miss her being in the spotlight. I love her style and love seeing what shes wearing. shes the it girl of the moment and i think she would lose that title if she went out of the spotlight.

I would be so upset if she did, she's hilarious, entertaining, interesting and I love seeing new outfits. (this is my opinion)
I know it's selfish of me :-(

She always covers up her legs now! But it's still a cute outfit, love those shoes.

But take a break from what exactly? It's not like she's doing much these days anyway. Even if she decides not to attend any events we'd probably still get lots of candids of her. However, if she really wants to disappear for a while, how is she ever going to come back? You can't just not turn up at events anymore and not do any TV jobs and expect to just be in demand again when you wish to "be in the spotlight" again?

I think it'll probably be quite easy for her to get into talks with MTV, or another channel to do a show when she decides she's bored of doing...nothing. Hey, maybe she'll go to uni? She said she always wanted to!

I know, there are barely any candid/event pics, we get almost as many photoshoot pics as we do those. Compared to someone like, say, Kim Kardashian, I'd much rather see the amount of photos we get of Kim of Alexa, and the amount of Alexa of Kim. I don't think I'd tire of her.

That's such bad news, I was getting used to seeing her at event's during the Cannes Film Festival season, thought we'd be seeing her at more high end fashion events, her style has improved so much in the past year. Isn't her boyfriend's band going on tour this year, after the release of their new album? Maybe she's planning to tour alongside him?

I hope this news blurb is true, and I hope she studies design more, or returns to journalism, whatever. She's too smart not to do something extraordinary.

I think it's actually smart of her to lay-low for a bit. Find a purpose, revamp her image since it's been mass-marketed and stolen by so many, and make people hunger for her... as opposed to people beginning to tire of her, wonder what the hell she is doing with her life or doing at events like Cannes, and cringe over the fact that she is wearing a smock dresses and peter pan collars as she nears the age of 30.

She'll still be shot plenty by the paps, I don't think it's as if she's going to quit the celeb thing and move back to Hampshire or anything dramatic like some people are taking it. There's still her Madewell line and other commitments too, so no worries!

I would say that is almost certainly the case, given that she toured with them even while she was presenting her New York show. Pretty sure there will be plenty of backstage photos with her.

^ Agreed. To be honest, I kind of have been wishing that she'd get serious about something other than the things she's usually known for (i.e. fashion, it girl-ing). People can agree to disagree with me, but I really do think there is more to Alexa than what's been seen so far. Maybe in the near future she can find a way to successfully utilize that potential I so hope she has.

Take a break from the spotlight? She doesn't really do much in terms of her career...the reason she is in the spotlight is because she attends events and the paparzzi follow her around.... I can't see them stopping really
