I love it all so much, except for the embroidered shearling jacket which looks really out of place. I'm so excited to see where he takes his F/W collection this year.
I have a love/hate relationship with the first dress.
But it is so ornate and lovely that I have a hard time disliking it. A little too poufy in a strange way but I like it-- playing with volume is always something enchanting to me.
The suits are really to die for though, I love the first one in the second row-- that is just incredible to me.
I was blown away-- pre-fall collections are usually boring to me but this was extraordinary.
I don't know if anyone here noticed, but that is a rather unusual length for a skirt these days. That below-the-knee classic 50's length....girls prefer above knee these days. Even the vast majority of Lanvin dresses are well above knee.
This is better than most of his recent runway collections. With the exception of the embroidered shearling jacket (so catalog ) this is frigging gorgeous!
Even the photography, the very dandified poses with the strong shadows, is gorgeous.
boo to the shearling with the flower embroidery... blech
but i like the vibe of the rest of it
the structured looks are spot on and he does the silhouettes so well...
emphasizing what's beautiful about a woman's shape seems to come naturally to him..
he just delivered this season haven't he?
I mean without McQuee's collections, this season could have been extremely boring.
Even his pre-fall collection is even more interesting than many collections from other dsdigners this season.
I hope I get a chance to work with him,,,that would be my dream come true!!!!
