I'm really liking this coat... the cut... I would put a guy in it! The makeup is a little random though, but I like it.

Does the makeup mean anything? It seems irrelevant to the collection.
McQueens show tactics ALWAYS have meaning....even if it's not obvious.

need to see more but i dont like the buggy trousers at all, the rest is ok, not exceptional, i love the thorn headwear that goes with the silverish satin jacket

somehow, i much prefered the mood of his ss05 collection... it was more creative

btw, those 'bright' blue coats seem to be a total must for fw05.06 menswear..
just all over the place right?

am not diggin the presentation @ all whats with tose clown faces. anyway all isnt bad @ least some of the clothes are good

I've had a look at the full collection. I have to say I think it's ugly and incoherent. It's a cross between Jonathan Saunders and B Willhelm and saville row. I don't see any foundation to it, any key or signature pieces and I think the collection misses that - it's like it's searching around looking for a common theme, but... doesn't find any. And he also shows dungarees and boiler suits. Why?

Agree with you Johnny:-) I was kind of searching for sth that could make me like "Wow". And it was hard:-)

So I looked for the tailoring, the use of shiny fabrics, of stiff and thick wool... The silver plates covering tops were like continuing the mirror sewn-in of the SS05. There are some v.nice jkts and coat. The tailoring is wild as always, but I just didn't feel the "beat" of it all.

From the Independent online:

Alexander McQueen rocked Milan with a glamorously avant-garde menswear collection last night. Taking inspiration from two films La Haine and La Reine Margot McQueen showed fashion as gang warfare with violent ghetto street sport versus bloodthirsty Renaissance aristocrats.
Slouchy skater-cut trousers and fox-trimmed parkas followed frock coats and matching trousers in overstitched claret velvet. A silver lamé suit fought it out with gold and bronze sequin tunics.

I'm already on the list for the metallic sweaters.

Where to see more? Anyway, I've learned to reserve my judgement about Lee's clothes until I see it in stores, just because it's so different from the catwalk.

I personally loved the ensamble of the first two suits, especially the first one that one is soo hot, but that make up and lipstick is way too much. I don't guts should ever wear makeup (maybe in rare cases), but never lipstick.

Oh I believe it must have been Denis Simachev…?

I have a great paper blazer by him, but have not seen any pics from his new collection. Was it good?

Having seen some of his previous shows I have no reason to doubt that it must have been hilarious. But hidden in all the madness there usually are some nice items.

Those of you who aren’t familiar with him try to take a look at http://www.denissimachev.com

Do you have any pics from the show?

love the design and length of the coat but the color just isnt practical.

Watcha talking about? The color is amazing. Goes with black, white and any denim, and a wonderful alternative to black/grey.
