please could someone tell me the actual date of the collection and when he actually graduated, was it spring/summer 1994? i'm just looking for some pictures.

I thought he graduated in 1992 or 1993 but i'm not sure and am not certain what collection it is, thanks

i'm pretty he graduated in 1991, then opened his own studio in 92

i know Isabella Blow bought his entire graduate collection for £5000, not a bad graduation present! :)

i don't think anyone has ever seen pics of his graduation collection....at least never on display on the web. as far as the date, everywhere i read i only ever see 1994 as the year he graduated and issy picked up the collection. but mcqueen had been at saville row before that at 16 and did theatre costumes prior so that might be what confuses.

according to contemporaryfashionarchive.com it is stated as 1994 which comes directly from mcqueen's headquarters. it is also stated on his web site.

I wonder what happened to these pieces, and the rest of her wardrobe when Isabella Blow passed away. Does anyone know? Surely she had many history-making pieces in that collection. I would have thought she would have had them bequeathed to a museum or something but I never heard anything like that.

well i don't think the collection was directly inspired by jack the ripper but more so an element of reference. the collection in my eyes had to do with misogyny in general .

    I have one picture.
I scanned it a long time ago from an art history book I read.
Im pretty sure Alexander McQueen graduated in 1992. But if his website says otherwise then I must be mistaken.

I thought McQueen's graduate collection was the one with the low-waist trousers that showed the butt-crack?
