this was a very informal show. the show took place in the alive + olivia showroom. seems like an alice in wonderland theme to me.

The Label
Never underestimate the power of flattering pants. Stacey Bendet’s pants-only collection and its phenomenal fit caught the eye of a few key industry players—Barneys New York and Andrew Rosen of Theory—when it launched in 2002. Rosen signed on as partner after seeing one of Bendet’s first presentations titled “Just Pants,” in which models holding strategically placed flowers walked the room in pants and nothing else. Alice + Olivia has since expanded to include a full contemporary line and a denim collection and now has three freestanding boutiques.

The Look
Hamptons princess and Hollywood starlet staples—bright floaty dresses, flirty tops, short shorts, and low-rise pants galore.

The Designer
Equal parts fashion sense and business savvy, Bendet got her company off the ground soon after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania. She was on her way to Wall Street when she saw a big opportunity in low-rise pants. The Stacey Pant, as it’s since been known, and its famous fit have attracted customers like Kate Hudson and Paris and Nicky Hilton. Bendet recently put her design stamp on menswear with Hobson 26.

It is nice to see elegant clothes combined with converse sneakers? But sometimes, I always get this feeling that no matter how good that combination is, it is never as lady like as a pair of simple heels? Nevertheless, I do find the presentation interesting this season. The showroom was well decorated and I do like the clothes, in particular the short floral dress worn with converse in #8! Oh, I'm such a slave!

i really like the alice in wonderland presentation.
the shoes arent converse they are prototypes for the alice + olivia for payless collection coming out in march.

i'm usually not very fond of prints but i'm loving this
colorful but still cohesive and simple
mod mod mod!

Wait... there is going to be an Alice+Olivia Payless collection? Be still my heart!!!!

This collection is adorable, as is all their stuff.

Love the showroom set-up and collection, very wearable. In fact there's a few pieces I'd like.

I wish these dumb New York designers would pack up and leave. Weve seen this a million times from one designer or another. NY is becoming more boring by the minute. Everything here looks too casual and ordinary except that green dress and that outfit with the short shorts, thats sexy.
