Alicia Keys and Melissa Etheridge were among the Grammy-winners who attended the Recording Academy tribute gala at Cipriani in New York City. In addition to their trophies, honorees Keys, Jersey band Bon Jovi and the creators of West Side Story were also awarded with a one-of-a-kind performance by Etheridge, who belted out the modern classics "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Living on a Prayer."

Also in attendance at Giving Live At The Apollo, Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and Shakira (not pictured) all shared stories of their own charitable endeavors in order to encourage the younger generation to get involved in activism and volunteer efforts. "The most exciting thing for me is motivating my generation," said Keys, who belted out a new number, aptly titled "Superwoman."
