Actually, I loved her longer hair. The bob was good for her career, but looks-wise, the long hair flattered her face much better, IMO.

She is/was definitely not just average. Maybe not a completely unique alien face (and alien faces are not that unique anymore), but definitely far from the "typical" or "average" girl.

if only i looked half as good as her! alison is drop dead gorgeous! i love her more with short hair but she looks beautiful with long hair too. definitely not average, imo.
