I'd rummage through vintage belts if I were you...there are some lovely belts you can come across!
I'd suggest you get a tan or a black belt..or dark dark brown. Those two just scream 'uggs+juicy couture' to me..

I'd rather buy a cute skinny belt or wraparound belt... or even oen with an ornate buckle...

but not those "cookie cutter" gucci belts.

I know this is off-topic, but I really want a red wide belt I like the one a la Sportmax FW 05:

But: a) I can't get Sportmax where I live
b) I strongly dislike its, eh, shininess.

So any recommendations for a wide red non-shiny non-sportmax preferably-velvet-looking belt?

So, I've been browsing, and what do you guys think look better? Skinny belt or wide belt or just regular? Keep in mind, I'm very short, about 5'...

I also need a sturdy belt, since I need them to belt jeans, and I don't want one with those two D ring hoops and you just thread them through twice, or the ones with the claws. It has to have a buckle and the holes...Hahahaha, don't know any of the real names for them...

Anyway, I will appreciate your help!

And just to let y'all know - I don't own ANYTHING by Juicy, or Uggs, and the only miniskirts I own are tennis skirts for playing tennis with.

I don't know if that's your style, but it meets a couple of the requirements.

The problem I have with recommending belts is that it seems they are very personal.

Sorry Happygluckie that I don't have a specific suggestion for you, but I just don't have any idea what style of belt you would like (other than no D-rings, no claws)

Happiegluckie... eh.. any of the belts that I have bought are all affordable ones. I've bought many of my belts from Target (their belts have gotten better in the past year) and New York and Company(also has interesting belts)

get a leather belt, not a cloth one.
There are some nicer gucci belts available if u want... a good option would be one of their reversible belts (2 in 1...what "value" ...)
i personally love hermes belts too they are also double sided

Help! Where can I get a belt like this?

First of all, my apologies if this is in the wrong forum. I really wasn't sure where else to post it Anyway, do any of you know where I can get a belt like this but cheaper? I'd prefer it if it was white and the same thickness. It's by Celine, but I scanned this from the November 2005 issue of Nylon, so I doubt it's still there...and I'd like a cheaper alternative. Thank you to whoever can help!

Actually if you guys can find a belt like that in red or white that would be great...I've looked everywhere and can't find one that isn't really expensive.

well, i know i got one at holt renfrew. mine is a light beige suede, but i know they had white ones as well, same thickness as the belt in your picture, but the buckle is different. worth checking out at least.

there's a bunch in canada, i got mine in ottawa. i'm not sure, but it may be a canadian retail chain. i also just saw one at H&M, so i'd check that out.
