I'm flicking through this on zinio now, it seems to be 110 pgs. The circulation info - that boring box that you probably have never noticed at the back of American magazines - is sitting at the bottom of one of the contents pages.

The theme is travel, which really means a lot of looking at what people do around the world, like Japanese beauty, healing "waters" like the Dead Sea, how to pack stylishly, flying with a luxurious airline, female mariachis, the manufacture of botox in Ireland (Allure is a terrible magazine for stereotyping Ireland, so I don't even know if I should read this article), a trip to Dubai with a cosmetic dentist, and bottoms in Brazil (always with the bottoms).

The Nicole article is up at allure.com, and the print version has an extra page of small shots of her red carpet dresses over the years.

The one (8pg) beauty editorial is centred on hairdresser Sam McKnight's rockabilly looks on models Ling Ling and Georgia Howorth in his London house/garden.

Despite the cover and lack of editorials, for me, this issue features the best written content in AGES, because they've left the agenda behind and just embraced the idea of covering interesting stuff. There's no contradictory nonsense about anti-aging, just advertising and articles, like a magazine doing its job.

Got it in the mail today. It's 106 pages.

The circ info is always interesting to read in the year end issues. The last digital issue of Allure sold only 19,259 copies. About a tenth of the issues circulated were free--some context when considering overall copies distributed.

Yikes, that's ridiculously low! Allure will defo be the next magazine to be killed.
