I like the way the covers are unmistakably about make-up, with a full focus on strong eyeshadow or a bright colour on the mouth. American Allure can often be so wishy-washy about the beauty looks it presents on the front of its issues, as if it's afraid of being too bold, sticking with a smoky eye and the latest version of a pinky-beige lip.
