Alta Moda Roma S / S 04 (day 2)

That's a mixture of ALL of their collections. And from what I can see,some pieces from Spring 2002(the Japanese kimono inspired collection underneath that bustier)Spring 2003(the shrouded top),Fall 2003(again,the bustier,the shearling sash) and the recent Spring 2004.


I love those ruffle-y petticoat-style skirts and that jacket with all the buttons on the shoulder.

Among fashion shows, performances and events, the 2004 edition of AltaRomaAltaModa S/S fashion will present over 30 initiatives entrusted to three designer sections (Haute Couture, New Generation and Next Couture) with the participation of international stylists ( either from or of Belgian, Greek, Israeli, Libanese and Polish origin). These will include young up-and-coming talents chosen by an expert technical committe and a guest of honour, the designer Mariella Burani who, on this occasion, will also be awarded with a prize to mark her outstanding career.

Participants will include:
· for the HAUTE COUTURE section: Renato Balestra, Chiara Boni, Raffaella Curiel, Marco Coretti for Sorelle Fontana, Marella Ferrera, Gattinoni and Fausto Sarli.
· For the NEW GENERATION sector: Gianni Calignano, Franco Ciambella, Yossi Cohen, Susanna Liso per Le Tartarughe, Abed Mahfouz, Michele Miglionico, Ewa Minge, Angelo Mozzillo, Laura Pieralisi, Francesco Scognamiglio, Simone e Tornaforte and Tony Ward.
· For the NEXT COUTURE sector: Silvio Betterelli, Agelos Bratis (<-- Lena's friend!), Silva Bruschini, Celeste All That Jazz, Alessandro Consiglio, Bianca M. Gervasio, Kostas Murkudis, Roberto Musso, Origami Moda, Shirò, Matteo Thiela and A.F. Vandevorst.
· For the TRAINING sector: Rome Academy of Costume and Fashion.

Oooh I love the idea of wearing a petticoat high. Wonder if it'd work with a regular one hmm...Will have to explore...
