On E! red carpet, she explained kind of the reasoning in the pendant. She said she's new to this award season fashion hoopla and she likes to be comfortable. So maybe it's a part of her own style, embellished in her look.

She [and Marion] are my favorite looks of the night, hands down. I normally don't like dresses that have that sort of bottom to them, but I think this one is stunning. I think it lends well that the dress is primarily simplistic and then has the gorgeous bottom. Plus the color is superb! And her hair, but that I am always envious of.

She completely killed it last night! She looked stunning, the blue is gorgeous on her and the dress is pure Hollywood glam. So far shes my favorite this award season.

Interesting, it was a risk that I actually think works and gives the look even more personality. She looks stunning, love the side swept hair. Definitely the best dressed of the night.

For what it's worth, the dress has a built-in slip that probably didn't show anything. The photographer's flashes pick up on a lot unseen to the eye in person, sometimes. Like in this case. Still, you would think someone would've told her to put on another slip just to be sure.

Good thing she has a nice tush.

Yep she has clearly forgotten her slip! I wonder if she realised it was so see-through. Maybe the camera flashes made it worse.
