I doubted Toccara having a spread in VI, so I'll going to wait and see what happens. Hope this is true!

That Nicole-McQueen thing.... I'll believe it when I see it. I highly doubt it's true though.

Same here! But how awesome would that be?!?!?! And he does seem to have a thing for unique looking redheads - Alice Gibb??

I was simply making the point that it depends entirely on how you measure success... for some it might be a long steady career (even in the asian market) others might consider an editorial in a premier fashion magazine with the (arguably) worlds most sought after photographer better than steady work...

Is one high end editorial better than twenty commercial gigs? Is five jobs in NY better than fifty in Tokyo? Depends on who you're asking...
Great comment!

I think that Kat and Mollie Sue are two of the more successful ANTM alums, but I don't think that doing high fashion work is the only measure of success and that when evaluating models who "graduated" from ANTM two or more years ago, there are a number of models who have done more commercial / catalog work whose success I would put on par with Kat and Mollie Sue. I am proud when I see an ANTM girl doing a big runway show, an ed with a big photographer and / or appearing in one of the major fashion magazines, but as a general rule you need to be able to translate runway gigs (especially if you walk in a small number of shows) and editorials into campaigns and other money making work.

Ok, so what is it I hear about Nicole (last cycle's winner) doing a McQueen campaign? WHAT? This has got to be some kind of joke, no? They say she'll be the face of his S/S 2011 collection, but that's like a year away?

She just posted on her Facebook that it's not true.

I don't think Mollie was that successful. Editorials, big or not, don't really pay the bills. It sounds like Jaslene is the most successful, and maybe Dani as well.

Mollie has also done campaigns (Diesel, Cop.Copine, Saks).

Most of Elyse's work is in Asia. I don't think she's as successful as it seems.

In defense of Elyse, she took up modeling for the money and the travel. She was in Paris for a short time and did work there quite steadily (I read her blog). It makes sense to me that, since it was not her goal to make it big, that Elyse would not stay long in a country where commissions are 70% and models are regularly paid in trade.

Is that true? She's not on their site...

Apparently, Nicole (C5) posted about it on her Facebook. She's either in London or Mexico now. I assume she'll be up on their boards when they get back to the states.

There are so many ways to measure a model's success. Certainly Fo's Adidas campaign paid better than Mollie's spread in Russian Vogue, and there is no shame in being a regularly working commercial model.

I should note, however, that the last time I checked Tocarra was the *only* ANTM contestant mentioned on Models.com.

If I had to give a list of the girls I thought were successful, I would base it not just on high-profile but ability to earn a living as well as success in working in different markets for more than one year. That would be:
1. Elyse (C1)
2. Shannon (C1)
3. Mercedes (C2)
4. Catie (C2) - I hardly ever see her work, but she's been on the boards at L.A. Models and NYMM forever.
5. Tocarra (C3) - it's not the shoot with Miesel that makes me put her on this list but her regular work with Ashley Stewart.
6. Ann (C3)
7. Rebecca (C4)
8. Nicole (C5)
9. Diane (C5)
10. Kim (C5)
11. Bre (C5)
12. Danielle (C6)
13. Mollie (C6)
14. Leslie (C6)
15. Nnenna (C6)
16. Megg (C7)
17. Eugena (C7)
18. Jaslene (C8)
19. Natasha (C8)
20. Brittany (C8)
21. Samantha (C8) - I am a bit torn about this as I found her eds to be mainly uninspiring and she seemed to really only work in Asia
22. Chantal (C9)
23. Lisa (C9)
24. Bianca (C9)
25. Katarzyna (C10)
26. Fatima (C10)
27. Lauren Brie (C11)
29. Sandra (C12)
30. Fo (C12)

I left off the Cycle 13 girls because they are just getting started. I also excluded Anya because, while I adore her, Anya's work seems mainly limited to Asia.

Yaya has to be mentioned as a big success. She not only did magazine ad campaigns but also television commercials, starred in a movie and on television in shows like Ugly Betty, Law and Order and All my children. She's going to be in the upcoming movie Tron.
