Ami Menswear S/S 2024 Paris

SUBLIME!
the perfect casting, the location, the music, the glimmering fabrics, the color palette. everything in sync.

very old Prada.....

I loved it even if it reminded me of the orevious Gucci era when the designer was still cool. Maybe they should send this designer over to Gucci.

He is hitting it right again.
Suddenly, AMI is more and more mature and I love that.
Great clothes, great cut, fabulous cast!

Too bad the shoes are still ugly (can he just ask Pierre Hardy to collaborate on shoes for god’s sake) and THE STYLING!?

I know Carlos is a big name and a good name to have I guess but his styling doesn’t make sense! And to close the show with such a generic look, no matter how well made it looks, is a pity.

Alexandre started his career at Dior Homme, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy…
Given his experience, his philosophy and the state of his brand, it would likely never happen. It wouldn’t make sense at all for him to go back to those types of brands…

Effortless and chic. Everybody looks instantly better in his clothes.
And the quality of AMI is great too.

A beautiful colour palette! Shiny olives and dusty pinks? Dreamy and redolent of late-season rooftop events.

True, I see a bit of old Prada (in the sequins, collars and dropped waists) but I also see some Jil Sander and Boss and that unmistakable German unadornment in some of the quieter pieces, which is kinda makes me think of another Parisian brand that does this quite well: Gauchère.

It’s an almost faultless collection if you ask. The scarf (?) halters are the letdown of the collection and I’m not a fan at all. But then I’m not the target.

Very well put together and finished collection. Nice relaxed sensuality that makes things feel luxurious.

The colours altogether are a bit anemic, and I wonder if a jolt of maybe a rich burnt orange or a warmer gold that goes beyond the shoes would have helped to lift some of the blandness (I feel the same @LadyJunon).

Beautiful casting as always. The colour palette is a bit muted for the summer, but nonetheless still good.

Oops seems I reviewed the wrong collection. I was reviewing Amiri not Ami. I only realized after seeing the pictures. Everyone was probably looking and wondering where I saw Gucci!
