^ I'm not sure what you're getting at? How are they pushing her as a specific ethnicity?

Amrit has mentioned her mixed background in other interviews and also talked about not being perceived as beautiful by her family and peers in India because of her darker skin.

I haven't read a single interview where she alludes to being mixed-race. Her Vogue India interview made no mention of it either. I find it puzzling as her heritage is something to be proud of...

She spoke of her diverse background previously as well. I can't remember the context. I'm sure she's proud of her heritage, just not making a big deal about it.
 
Personally, as a South Asian I find it insensitive that she uses being 'Indian' to get jobs. Clearly, it is her white privilege that has been getting her cast over other South Asian models. To make no mention of her actual heritage whilst leading the public into thinking she is completely Indian is deception.
