Andy Warhol & The Factory

Jackie Curtis
Jackie's friendship and professional association with Andy Warhol began in the mid-1960's. He appeared in Director Paul Morrissey's "Women in Revolt" with Candy Darling and Holly Woodlawn and "Flesh" with Joe Dallesandro and Candy Darling, presented by Andy Warhol. For these unique films director Morrissey gave the actors information about their character, the scene and suggested lines. The camera (frequently manned by Warhol) rolled and everyone improvised much of the content in a single take.
After his death in 1985, a friend found a note Jackie had written reading: "You are not truly a Warhol superstar unless you are dead."

"Jackie Curtis is not a drag queen. Jackie is an artist. A pioneer without a frontier"-Andy Warhol

Yes, it's the same guy.

Craig Highberger met Jackie Curtis in the fall of 1972 when he was a freshman at NYU film school. He was a close friend of Jackie's for the next 13 years and during that time documented the work of Jackie Curtis on videotape and film.

That's what is said on the site. There's also his e-mail address.

I don't know what I would have done to be part of that scene...

I know what you mean ,,they were all so intriguing and looked like they did nothing but have fun 24/7

I love how Brigid Polk has her breasts hanging out in almost every photo.
She wasnt self conscious at all was she? ^_^

Does anyone have pictures/scans of those paintings she used to do with her breasts?

Nylon says that Candy died before the age of 30 after a battle with leukimia so I presume she died of her cancer. My favorite Factory girl is Christa Paffgen a.k.a Nico. www.protons.com.br http://www.gerardmalanga.com/

I think Nico is also my fave factory girl, but I think Edie is also amazing. I love "Candy Says", I was just listening to it! Here's the link for "Factory Girl" if anyone is interested...http://imdb.com/title/tt0432402/. Weezer is playing the Velvet Underground. And I don't know about the girl who is playing Nico, but we'll see.

Weezer? I'm sorry, but thats not a good choice at all.Meredith Ostrom will be playing Nico,I have no idea who she is though.

Ok I just saw pictures of Meredith on imdb. She has a very faint resemblence to Nico, not the best choice in my opinion, but maybe I am just too infatuated with her.
