Anja Rubik

^ she does! i even started liking her more, after reading this interview

the cover is more like a celebrity cover, but like it nonetheless
my favorite part of the interview:
When I'm wearing dark sunglasses I even look around.
 anja is so funny

I love the VP ed  Anja always manages to look simply sensual, but not vulgar ; isn't she definitely a talented model ? :) And personnally I like her glamour cover because it doesn't look like a Vogue cover, or other "real" fashion magazines'. Thanks for scanning!

^ that part is just great! she's so funny  and i love the pictures, not really of the cover, but the other pictures are just insanely gorgeous

Thanks for posting the interview, I really enjoyed it. It seems like Anja has a great personality and I like the fact she answers so honest about everything, especially the whole Demi Moore/W thing.
And that Vogue Paris editorial is stunning.

did W confirm that to her or she just took a guess like the rest of us? did W need to pay her for using her torso?

and i was a bit surprised by her really honest opinion of anna wintour.

Heavens, that Bijoux ed is... magnifique! Especially the first photo.. it has the right angle, right expression right accessories... heck, it's perfection. I so love it.

And yeah that undying "W" rumors have circulated viciously of late but I think it contributed to the sales of the magazine too. Anyway... ^_^

Second part of the Glamour interview:flower:

29.If your career had to stop tomorrow, what would you miss the most?

The thing that I would miss the most is at the same time the advantage and disdvantage of my job. It's the

adrenalin that this business gives me. I would miss this feeling that you don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow.

Fashion industry can't be boring. Every time I work with different people, in different places and it's very

exciting. In the other side, my plans change all the time and it's very tiring because you can't plan anything.

30. How you felt when you cut your hair? Have you ever regret it?

Absolutely not. Ok, maybe sometimes when I saw girl in ponytails, beacuse I realy like high ponytails. I was

really happy when I cut my hair. It's not true that I have to had my agency permission to do that, but it's true

that I have to had their support. I had bookings for many editorials with long hair so I couldn't just cut my

hair. In my case, changing the haircut change into a fight for the right to my own hair and my own image. But whe

I did it I felt free.

31.Who you would like to work with?

With David Yurman. A call from him would be my dream coming true.

32. What after the Quazi collection you would like to design?

I would really like to do fashionn collection. I even work on this project. But it's just the beginnig and it's a

long time before my own collection come to stores.

33. Are you being jealous of Sasha?

Of course I do! It's a natural fellin, I think? If someone's not jealous that means tha he doesn't care. I'm

really jealous, but I try to not show it.

34. What was the weirdest photoshoot that you've ever had?

Recently I had a photoshoot for French Vogue where for the first time in my life I was posing with four snakes. It

was amazing! One time I was for photoshoot in Alaska- the temperature was really extreme and the scenery was

beautiful. We were working in the tent that was standing on the freezed lake.

35. What you want to do after you end uo your career?

I work with Sasha for 25 magazine. We have lots of plans, but it's too early to talk about it.

36. When was the last time when you thought that you don't know what to wear?

Every other day I have this thoughts. I don't have enough place for my clothes and I can't find anything. I'm

constantly complaining that it would be easier if I had bigger wardrobe. So I buy it and I still don't have enough

place. I have lot of clothes, but there are seasons where I'm wearing one style. And if I like some shoes I can

wear them constantly for all week.

37. What are you doing when you're waiting backstage?

I used to read books, but I can focus anymore. I know so many people in the industry that I always meet somebody.

So I just talk with models and people working backstage.

38. What are the product that you can't live without?

I believe that you can't use one cream all the time. So I have three- one for a day, one for a night and one for

every other day. I don't think there is a perfect cream, because every gives something different for your skin. I

love Creme de la Mer, La Praire and Embryolisse. I can't live without Bioderma Crealine makeup remover- every

model in France uses it. And recently I've discovered that Chanel has really good cosmetics for body.

39. Is there anything that you would never wear?

In my job I would wear anything. I can't complain. And private? This list is changing because now I wear things

that I used to say that I would never wear. But you will never see my wearing jeans with white booths, that's for

sure. I also don't wear red lipgloss. Not because I don't like it. Just, I automatic touch my lips so I would

smudge it.

40. Who's your women icon?

I adore Nadja Auermann who is the ideal of beauty, for me. I saw her last season. She still works and looks

amazing. Brigitte Bardot is a fashion icon for me. She was the first one that experimented with fashion and she

was walking bare foot in St.Tropez!

41. What's "being glamour" means to you?

It's an inside elegance mix wit sexapeal and confidence. For me, every woman that is confidence is glamour.

42. What kind of music do you have in your iPod?

"You don't fool me" Queen, "Tears from heaven" Eric Clapton, "Freedom" Goerge Michael. I love The Knives. I also

have lots of Madonna's and Depe Mode's music.

43. You have a tattoo. What it shows?

It's a rat. I had rat named Fibi, but she died in my hands.

44. With who you like to work best?

I really like Patrick Demarchelier and Terry Richardson, but my favourites are Inez Vinoodh. We really like each

other and we love to work together. We have a good chemistry on photoshoot. They have huge sensibility and I

always know that photos will be amazing. I feel very confident when I work with them.

45. Where in New York you like to shop?

Actually my favourites shopes are in Paris. I love Isabel Marant and I often go to Printemps. And in New York I go

to Barney's and vintage shops at East Village.

46. In what situation you cry?

Always on the plane. I don't know if it's stress or tension but when I'm on plane I cry very easily. I spoke with

many persons and the say that it often happens to them, too. But on the earth I don't cry at all.

47. Which designer, in you opinion is the nicest one?

Jean Paul Gaultier is always cheerful, he knows all the models and he remembers details from our lifes. He has a

lot of positive energy. I also like Karl Lagerfeld. Last year I had an honour to work with him many times. He's

ver experienced and he like to share his knowledge with others. I like to listen him and learn from him. Besides,

he does so many things that I even don't know when he finds time to sleep. I bet he doesn't at all, because when

he doesn't design, he shoots, even at night. I also like polish designer Łukasz Jemioła. He's really nice and he

has a hige talent.

48. Why are you interested in yoga?

My frien who practise it told me once, that because yoga she feels great, her body looks better and her life has

changed. I was complaining for a long time at my backbone, because I often sleep at planes which is really bad for

my people who are high. When I've tried it for the first time I wasn't able to do it at all. Three months later I

tried it again. I started to feel better, my pains disapeared. I do vinyasa yoga, which is faster than astanga and

lyengara yoga and it really stretchs your body. I really believes in yoga and I can't imagine my life without it

anymore.

49. On which designer you would spend fortune?

Rick Owens. His things looks better at time.

50. How you stsrts your typical day?

I start from putting on my contact lenses because without them I can't see anything. Then I do coffe and I check

my emails and read news for half an hour. It's a very important part of my day, so even if I start my work very

early, I weak up half an hour earlier to do that.

51. How you menage to be with Sasha, since you always travelling?

We have this luck, that we can't work together quite often. When we can't see each other for a week, one try to

fly to another. We really miss each other and we can't stand cuople of days alone.

52. What in your opinion is the best thing to wear on a date and what for party?

For a date, little black dress it's the best option. And for a party? If you go out with friends I would wear

jeans and nice t-shirt with some funky braceltes.

53. In your opinion, plus size models should be seen on a catwalk?

Of course! Why not? I saw Mark Fasta show at LOndon Fashion Week and I was really cool. If a designer needs a plus

size model, to show his collections, then why not? Women have different bodies, so why pretend that everybody is

thin?

54. Do you have any beauty tricks?

Always use eyelash curler, even when you won't be using mascara. ANd always moisturize your skin. It's very

important. ANd when you out a foundation, use a lot of cream, because when the foundation starts to dry off on a

dry skin it will starts to crack and it's doesn't look good.

55. In which moments you feel beautiful?

Definitely not in the morning, because at this time I never look good. BUt when Sasha tells me that I look good, I know that it's true. Or when we sitting and eat dinner and he looks at me... at this moments I feel beautiful.

And again, sorry for mistakes;)

Wow. She sounds lovely, and so refreshingly open. I love her answer to the last question.

Kasik thank you SO MUCH for your time and effort in these translations!
