Ankle boots + skirts...

my eyes lit up softgrey, that's exactly what I was hoping to see :D

This look is really growing on me...I bought a pair of shoe boots/boot shoes as a compromise, but I saw some lovely ankle boots yesterday and I think I'm going to make them mine...and wear them with full skirts....^_^ .

I like the look, but it doesn't work with my short and chubby legs. Kate Moss does this very well though. I remember seeing a picture of her in shorts and ankle boots that I just loved, wish I could find it again.

Story of my life :(. I have decided to do it anyway though:lol: .

It was luuuurve at first sight for me. This is just a gorgeous look.. :woot: But I can't pull it off. I just like it on other people.

Sort of rolled down boots, with a dress. I like this look too.

The combination of knee-length skirt with ankle boots works well on long-limbed girls. It makes my own legs look a bit stumpy, so I wish I could pull it off.

^^ I got those ankle boots a few days ago, should be arriving soon. I  her dress. I generally dont even like the way she dresses, but I really like that outfit.

If we can't wear them with skirts, how else might we show off our ankle boots? (The detail on the upper parts of the boot?)

I think it looks great too... as ankle boots with shorts for guys
Of course they are different kind of boots to here. :D

def planning on some more of this for fall 06

cropped pants...;)...and tights...

I started wearing this look awhile ago.

Not ankle boots, but slightly above. Slouchy from wear and dirty, with square toe and slim 3" heel. Black leather.

I found it very rocker-cowboyish chic to wear them with:
A ) A "frilly" almost sheer white three -tiered skirt that was shorter above the knees and longer in the back.
B ) A soft magenta dress with a ruffled hem that hit about knee length, again with an uneven hem.

I think the key is to go for softer ruffled items - an uneven hem draws attention to your legs and kind of prevents them from looking stubby.

I'm 5"5 and by no means model thin but my legs looked gorgeous in those boots.

Try experimenting. :)

I love this look. I think you pulled it off in exactly the right way, softgrey. Ooh, that rhymes!

I'm trying out this look right now...everyone seems to like it even though I'm petite so don't have the super thin long legs. I have the grey boots with a tie that Sienna Miller has on in the first page.
