Even if you don't like the clothes itself, you really must admire her spirit. She totall walks to the beat of her own drum. Actually, there are some pretty wearable pieces here.
thank you for hunting & posting this collection scott, i so love it, its real clever, apart from the first and the last look which i find a bit boring very clever styling and fresh ideas i like the way she doesnt take herself seriously.. what i call, fresh
I love her. She's an even more free-spirit than most. Such a standout. This actually reminds me alot of Margiela's earlier works. Kindred spirits?
she has a lot of referances including a heavy portion of margiella , but i like how shes all over the place, its done in a non pretentious way and that makes all the difference. she cetrainly needs a more 'personal' look, still what she does, is done in a very studied way
bloody awful at first i tried to be diplomatic about it-but I just think this whole thing is pretty dreadful, imo. completely unimpressed... i get the whole marching to your own drummer thing, but I'd say it's definitely Margiela-esque-so isn't that marching to the beat of someone else's drum>? i don't know scott-i feel like she is being pretentious-pretending to be margiela to be exact... there just wasn't anything for me in this collection. ..although that one look you mentioned, scott was definitely the best one-but very 1992-3 Marc Jacobs for Perry Ellis...you remember everyone-the year Marc Jacobs put Perry Ellis out of business??!?! thanks for posting though, if you say she's got something, I'll keep watching for her...
are those real roses? i think its different and while i am not as saavy as i would like to be when making comments about collections i think there are some different things here like that jacket that slouches all over the place. thanks for sharing
